Skoolie Travelers

Skoolie Travelers

Hi - we are James and Melissa. Skoolie Travelers is the name. We document our travels in our DIY school bus RV conversion, also known as a Skoolie. We quit our 9-5 jobs to pursue or dream of being self employed digital nomads, and travel North America doing the things we love, like: hiking, mountain climbing, swimming, surfing, rock climbing, kayaking, biking, and whatever seems like fun. We decided to convert a retired school bus into a tiny home on wheels because the low cost meant that we could eliminate nearly all of our bills, while traveling anywhere we want in total comfort! Be sure to subscribe and follow along on our advetures as we tour America's National Parks, tourist attractions, and much more.

I’ve been using these since 2022. My hair is thick and heavy. It is now almost to my waist. It takes 3 of them and a tie, to hold a single bun, but they truly hold ALL DAY! They are versatile, simple to use, and powerful. No more losing Bobby pins all over, no more hair falling down. These spirals or French hair pins are my go to ways to control my hair. I’m 73 years old and finding something that finally holds is amazing!

I used the T-Mobile Home Network Gateway. I have traveled all over Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and California and always had a connection. If the signal ever became weak I would just connect up my directional cellular antenna and power the signal in from many miles away. I apse $30 per month, no hardware to buy and no contract. TM future plans will raise the price making this alternative too expensive, but for now it works great and it's cheap with my unlimited data plan I can watch Netflix until the cows come home. Before deciding on an Internet service while RVing there are 2 groups of people. 1. Full Timers 2. Part Timers. Full timers that need internet 100% of the time that maybe running a business on the road need the best system they can afford. The part timers have a harder time find an internet plan where they pay monthly but may not be traveling monthly and therefore pay monthly when they are not using it. So there are systems and plans that run $175 per month may require hardware purchases $600 and up. For part timers I would suggest getting a good cellular directional antenna and use you Hot Spot on your Phone.

So... Elon wouldn't sponsor you? Iresearched this service and found a bully at the other end. The puck is free initially, but after that first month you are forced to pay $10 on top of that first monthly installment for the device rental If you try to pause yourr service like you can with Starlink and run past the next month's due date, your card is charged $130 of you don't ship the hotspot back within 10 days at your own expense. Yeah, I think I will pass this one up. Usually I try out these suggested great deals, but I never tolerate bullies that ding my card without my express permission. That is tantamount to a stranger forcefully reaching into my pocket to grab my money.
