I'm a HomeFi user and I swear by it! I looked into Starlink and it just seemed way too expensive and inconvenient. I've never had any issues working from home or using my streaming services while RVing with my HomeFi device. Loved the video, the comparison was great!

Subscribed, thank you for this comparison/review. I would love to have Starlink but, its currently out of my price range. Ive been living off the grid for the last 5 years with crappy mobile hotspot internet. Looks like I will be using HomeFi to work from home 😊.

Go to dirtcheapdata.com and you can save an extra 10% . It works better for us because it goes with the strongest signal which often isn't our cell phone provider.

That's a good idea. The Solis Lite device (home Fi wireless through it) works great for us most of the time.

Starlink is $600 for the device and then $150/month. Dirtcheapdata coats nothing to get the device and our plan is $110/month. We keep our Starlink paused so we don't have to pay it bc we usually use the other.

I'd start with less and add more. You can add data or upgrade your package easily but if you don't use the data it's wasted. Their customer service is very helpful.

We still use it and like it. We only have problems with the speed when we're far down a dirt road or on a mountain pass. The customer service is great, they always help us in the chat. You can save 10% if you go to dirtcheapdata.com

My apologies for missing your comment. I taught online during "the sickness" and I don't think that HomeFi would have kept up with the Internet demand. With regular online meetings I would choose StarLink.

I haven't been there yet. I would like to make a day trip there (I'm about 2 hours away.) If there's any cell phone service, it will work. Joshua Tree does not have much cell coverage though. Stay safe!

I don't think any gamer would be happy with the HomeFi tbh. If you played anything multiplayer you'd probably have a lag. I asked my fiance because I am not a gamer and he said you would be much happier with StarLink speed. Just make sure you have a free free space.

We pay $100 for Home Fi and Star Link is $150. Star Link is faster if price doesn't matter to you unless you're in a very wooded area.

this thing sucks. it's got weaker cell service than a regular phone. If you get an unlimited celluar plan and a phone that can be set up as a hotspot, do that instead, Unreliable.

What area did you use it in? We've had good luck with ours but I will admit in some places it can be slow, but usually all cell service is. Thanks for sharing your experience.
