Family of 5, exploring and camping around Australia in our Cub Drifter camper trailer nicknamed the Wanderer. Doing this when we can get away from the real world. The channel is mainly to share our camping trips with family and friends but anyone is welcome to watch us explore the country.

I love the pump tap! Where can i buy one? Or is is a custom one?
Hi, this one came with the camper trailer, but you can buy them from RV supply retailers.
Supercheap auto in Australia does sell something similar
I think you are right but i cant find it! Your’s seems to be attached to the hole at the bottom. I will check the Cub camper website. Thanks for the reply
And i love the flowerpot hanger idea. Great!
Nice place. It seems so fun.
It was a great place to freshen up along a hard dusty track. Thanks for watching.
Hiking is fun!
It's a good track for beginners. 😄
Just the Dentistry😬
The hospital room was just as bad.😄
Cool Location.
They have live music on weekends, it's a caravan park but not the normal caravan park layout.
Great stuff guys
Thanks for comments, hope you enjoyed it 😊
your son Noah is a lovely young exsploring person
They all like to explore nature
Hi
that is so nice and lovely
It's a great place, not far away from Stevenson Falls too.
Beautiful video. just a question how to know it’s safe or no snake for the kids to get into the river please ? Love that part and would love to do that with our kids but just a bit worries of snacks haha. Thanks heaps
We generally check out the water ways first, and generally keep them out of deep and fast moving water. As for snakes we only seen about 4 snakes over the last 15 years. Generally well used campsites and waterholes are too noisey for snakes. Most are shy and try to keep away from people. Always look about first. Hope that helps.
How many liters is that one? I can't find that info anywhere.
Sorry about the late reply. The small inner pot is 2L, and the large inner pot is 5L. Hope that helps.
Those chef skills never get old
Always comes in handy
Awesome Awesome. Thank you for sharing. Blessings. Leila and Ronald.💚💚✅✅💚💚
Thank you for watching, I'm glad it helped you. I have put a chicken curry on the channel as well. Thanks again.
The only thing is I wish you would have showed adding the rice how much rice water etc.
Although I got the amount wrong and it popped the lid. But we won't talk about that 😄 I used 2 parts water to 1 part rice. Brought it to the boil, put the lid on it and into the thermal pot. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching the video too
Wow I can't believe there's only 1 comment! Loved your video, thank you for sharing, I can't wait to try it. What brand thermal cooker is that?
Thanks for watching! It's just an Aldi brand, so it's not super expensive at all.
@@the5wanderingwilsons Thank You :-)
did you see. the star of hope mine
Not this time, but I'm hoping to explore more next trip there.
@@the5wanderingwilsons cool do you know where it is because I don’t but I really want to see it
Great video mate. 👌👏👏👏👏
Thank you 😊
That’s a cool place!
Thank you, it was cool place
It looks great! Especially with the trees and grass!
It was a very pretty place, very green. Thanks for watching.
Great video. Looks like a nice spot on the river. Looked like the next day after all that rain was great!
Thanks heaps for your comments. It was really only one day of heavy rain, and the rest of the weekend was great. Good spot we will be heading back there in the future. Thanks for watching too
Loved this vid.. I’ve never seen a Thermo cooker in action 👍👍👍
Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
What is the name of your thermal cooker please? I really like the soft outer. We live in our van and the others are too big to store.
Hi Dyan, thanks for watching our videos. Our thermal cooker comes from ALDI supermarket. Was on their special buys catalogue. It'd called Adventuridge, it has a 2L inner pot and a larger 5L inner pot. Depending how much you fill the larger pot, you can cook a stew or curry and rice at the same time. I hope that helps a bit.
@The 5 Wandering Wilsons Thank you so much for that. We're at the beginning of our living on the road forever journey. I've looked at thermal cooking (I have a thermomix) but I couldn't find anything hubby would allow weight wise that would continue cooking with no power. They are all so cumbersome. Would I be wrong in thinking I could use the pots as saucepans and replace some of what I'm currently using? I love the soft case and that it still works. So grateful. Thank you again. Dyan.
The value of a father who gives a shit should never be underrated. Well done legend.
Thanks for your comments and for watching our camping video
Nice video! Your a great dad 👍🙏
You are so kind, hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching
went there in the early 80's camping at Brunton's bridge, how its changed, what a beautiful place.
It's a great place. We loved going there.
I loved your video,I am planning a visit to Walhala
Thank you for your comments, it's a great place to visit.
What happened to the rice!!!!!
I know 😅, a little too over catering with the amounts. Still taste good with the stew and easy to do if you get the measurements right. Thanks for watching.
@@the5wanderingwilsons. Try one part of washed Basmati (long grain rice) and up to 1.5 parts of water with added stock and a drop of olive oil. Bring up to boil, then shut off the heat and put the lid on. Partly cook the rice to coincide with the end of cooking the beef casserole. Load both pots into the thermal cooker at the same time, close it up and zip up the insulated bag. It will be hot and ready in from 6 - 8 hours and the rice or polenta will still be perfectly cooked as no steam is lost to the outside. Beef obviously needs more pre-cooking time than chicken or mince dishes. I enjoyed watching your presentation especially the way you pre-prepped the beef and veg. Great video and thanks for presenting to us. I take it you are Australian... I'm a Queenslander.
Thanks for that, I will give the a go. Yep we are from Victoria.
Did you have any issues on the driver side with the washer bottle obstructing the position where you install it? I saw another video where they said that was a problem. On your video they do look awfully close!
Thanks for your comment. It looks close but the angle of the arm once bolted on misses it just. Did fine that tighting up the bottom bolt helped to hold it into place. We had a couple on basic recoveries so far with only some of the paint coming off but we don't do a lot of rock hopping etc. Thanks for watching the video, hope it helped.
Just bought a thermal pot. Not many videos on KZread. Your video has some very helpful information! Thank you for sharing 😁
Your welcome, we found the same thing. Glad the video helped.
Great video guy's. Spot looks very nice. Cheers .
Thanks, it was a great spot, not too far from Melbourne. I'm glad you liked the video.
Thank you for the Idea. I just ordered a shower awning to go on my custom built truck rack. I have a 270 awning on one side and the truck has a shell with a 20"x 5' swing-up door on each side. I was trying to figure out how to fabricate a swing out shower like you have. Watching your video gave me an idea to make the wring out arm about 10" longer than the awning needs, in hopes of creating enough clearance to open the side door when the shower is in the 90degree position. i might make it have slots for 3 poles that way I can make a rain cover for it that overhangs the poles. A stretch goal for my project is to make it so I can un-bolt the swing arm, and attach it to a 2nd mount that can be ratchet strapped to a tree for longer camping trips. Thank you I will check out some of your other stuff. Roger
Your welcome, glad you found it useful. We are just passing on, ideas, places travelled etc to the camping community, that we have found. See you out on the tracks.
great video the best i've seen so far on these pots. and I believe it has 12vt as well is that correct? where can I buy this pot?
Yep, the 12v plug they say on the instructions is to keep the food hotter for longer. Believe or not this one came from Aldi on one of their special buys. I'm sure they will have them again.
I have a 5.5 liter two pot thermal cooker from Sarasota Jacks. Thermal cookers are great !
We are using ours a lot more, great when travelling. Heat your food before you go in the morning and it's ready when you get into camp. We agree it's a great nice of kit
that is a good looking pot, like that it comes in its own blanket and being able to use 12v if necessary. also the two pot thing is better for a solo traveller.. . I have the billy boil 3ltr thermal cooker but even that being the smallest is a fair bit for me on my own.. ok when its soup, but often in winter i have to ask neighbours to join me in my meal These pots are perfect for lazy cook like me...love that i can throw it together then forget it. pot luck tea saturday, i am doing a kiwi version of chicken biryani... see how that goes.
Sounds great, you have to tell us what's makes it a kiwi version. It's been a great addition to the camp kitchen. Thanks heaps for watching and your comments. Happy and safe travels.
Thanks for another great vid,
Thanks for watching, we appreciate your comments.
Awesome stuff wandering Wilsons? Did you catch any fish or try to? May give you a clue as to who I am?
Thanks for another great family vid
Have you had to use them yet? Any updates?
Once so far (touch wood). Got bogged crossing a stream in the Mansfield area, mud was a little deeper than I thought on the other side. Mate pulled me out. Seems to work ok, I will keep updating any further information. No video though as I was thinking about getting out 😂
Thanks for this, just bought a pair of these for the new 150 & was wondering about how to install so this was really handy. 👍
Thanks for another great family vid.
Thank you for your continuing comments of support.
nice !
Thank you
Thanks for the video tour, we're heading to Frank Potts Reserve tomorrow, your look around (particularly of the reserve) was very helpful.
Thanks for your comments. Really glad it helped.

Thanks, going to try a few more recipes.
Well done. Will have to try that.

That is a good budget set love it 😀
Thanks for your comments. We do what we can to get out there camping without costing a packet.
Some good tips from this. Cheers. 🙏 💕 😎
Thanks heaps for your comment. Hopefully the video will give others some ideas which has worked for us.
Well done on your episode.
Thanks, still getting the hang of it.
Wonderful dad looking after his boys
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video.
Can't wait to get back out there and make some burgers! I did spot one mistake though. You got a beer out at the end of the process rather than the beginning...
Haha very true. Not to my usual form.
Fantastic
Thank you! Cheers!
