    @@fabiocamilleri9591 i did not have an airbag light on when installed the unit. But if im correct, the wiring of the car is different in an 2010 and 2011 model. I have installed comfort door light in every door, so when i exit the car the floor in light up and a red warming light goes on. The way for these to install os different on 2010 and 2011 model, so maybe its the same with the unit? Have u tried putting back the old one? If the light is off by the old one you know for sure there is something going wrong with the new one.

    8v grilles are a little shorter than 8p and you can use an adaptor for 100% air flow. You can also use them as they are as you don’t lose that much air flow.

    Alex R. It’s been a journey mate and I’m still not there aha. But I’ve taken the wiring loom out of my old car and I’m going to be wiring it in my new Audi. Using ElsaWin for diagrams has been the hardest thing to do when you don’t know how to use the programme. 😭😭

    Thanks for the video. Some kind of captions would be good at the various points just explaining what and why you’re cutting or removing those parts. I’m assuming all the functions, on/off and air (blow) directional controls still work perfectly?

  • @rusnacencoooo
    @rusnacencoooo4 жыл бұрын

    Hello! Sorry that i haven’t explained all the details, it was a quick video. Everything works fine, but 8v vents are shorter than the original ones and you’ll have to make some extensions if you’re not happy with the current air quantity.

  • @cdefreit1
    @cdefreit15 жыл бұрын

    Is the cutting of all that duct trim absolutely required (not so much the rubber gasket, but the hard dashboard/duct trim)? I see you also completely cut off that outer retainer ring thingy from the 8V vent before you inserted it. Thank you for the video!

  • @rusnacencoooo
    @rusnacencoooo5 жыл бұрын

    cdefreit1 hello mate! First of all , i don’t think there is any perfect way to do this. You can start by cutting the ring and those retaining tooths from the 8v vent and then try fitting it. I’ve tried to minimize the dash cutting as i’ve seen some dash deformation as i was fitting the vents. I can’t see any cutting marks with stock vents or 8v vents, so i thing it’s ok. Thank you too!

  • @cdefreit1

    @@rusnacencoooo Got it! I'll let you know how it goes without cutting the dashboard duct, but it's good to know you don't see any cut marks when the 8V vent goes in. Thanks again, bud!

    Almost :) q3 unit is a bit bigger and you need to sand its sides (2-3mm i guess) for a perfect fit. Sand it little by little , testing everytime.

    Are the 8p and 8v the same length or is there any shortening of the 8v needed?

  • @rusnacencoooo
    @rusnacencoooo5 жыл бұрын

    8v’s are shorter than the 8p’s, but it s not losing that much air in my opinion. You can make some kind of pipe if you really wanna.

  • @chodak01

    the difference is considerable. All the air flies under the board and only a small part through the airflow. I recommend making sponge sleeves like I did in my s3 8p static.carthrottle.com/workspace/uploads/comments/fc3ed80c7ed3db11a65d645d860c3e71.jpg ibb.co/CsxFTSZ
