When I was about 10 I came second in a Magic The Gathering tournament. I should have won but they changed the rules at the end from 1v1 to a 4 way multiplayer! I hit the MTG tournament scene and became County Champion at 16. I also qualified for a Pro Tour that I attended and the UK Nationals.
I got disillusioned with MTG, mainly because of the randomness with Mana, the time and financial commitment of trying to compete in tournaments. I stopped playing and picked up League of Legends instead. I ground my way into the top 800 of competitive solo ranked in Europe. This was around the time Nocturne, Lee Sin and Brand dropped.
I got massively into Boardgames and have played hundreds of different ones over the years. My current favourites are Gaia Project, Terraforming Mars and Everdell.
I did some analysis videos for Deep Rock Galactic that went down well and I now focus on analysing mechanics in video games. Providing visual evidence and data for informed choices to be made.

I'm pretty sure if you dual-wield and use smite, then you spend only one spell slot for two smites, but I'm not sure if it still works. + opportunity attacks are made with both weapons too. It can be pretty huge, and honestly, dual-wielding is my favourite thing to do, probably mostly because I'm using finesse weapons 90% of the time.
I'm a player with 800 hours and I even learned I should ignore Praetorians and Oppressors LOL
You should do a video on which effects work with thrown weapons, and which do not.
Great video thanks
5:47 If your building this to use with a supercooled m1000 big target damage doesn’t really matter as much because you would usually be using your primary for big game (just figured I’d point this out because In my first watch I didn’t think about It so I’m assuming someone would be like me)
There is one really good hand crossbow--the Ne'er Misser. It does force damage, which is incredible since almost nothing is immune or even resistant to it. Finding that second excellent hand crossbow is an issue, though.
I wish there was a heart response instead of just a thumbs up because your videos would get them every time. Love how thorough you are. ❤
Nice videos
The main problems i see in this video are: 1. Does not count the wasted oportunity of useing bonus action as dual wielder. 2. Compare one specific build of 3lv thief to Any build that can 2h Also overly exicted in voice
A quick thing that not many people seem to know about, there are 10 levels of armor pen., first two are light pen., second two are med. pen. And next five are heavy (1-2 light, 3-4 medium, 5-10 heavy), so medium armor pen on liberator penetrator ≠ med armor pen on adjudicator (democratic detonation). As this scale (in form of lets call it penetrability) applies to enemies armor, level 3 med armor penetrating weapon, wont break thru scout strider's (automatons) lvl 4 medium armor etc. (I know the main shield is heavy, but the legs and the pary they are attached to are medium) I hope this helped and wasnt too chaotic
i dunno, sometimes taking hipster + t1 ammo and turning your brain off completely during a swarm can be quite effective, and you will get lots of kills. In general i find taking t1 damage with hipster a situational choise. If theres a gunner on the team the barely alive grunt from a headshot will die quickly anyway, and the extra ammo means you get far more damage potential.

Just getting into Deep Rock and I'm extremely impressed by this video. Rock and stone!
Hipster is great if you just want the best in slot for your scout primary, and are grinding for xp and not changing builds between missions.
Hi there, I really love your video formats and great editing, easy to digest information. Would you be able to do an update for season 5 in DRG?
comment for algo, great work thank you!
u British
When you compair average damages between 2 very close calculations... rounding down "for simplicity" is wild.
that is 11 damage 03:21 (read this 11.3) vs 12 (read this as 13 = 6.5 + 6.5). so he made it look closer than it was.
Very helpful, thanks
Thats why i rock the autocannon, it can one shot brood commanders if you hit there head square on
For sweet liberty!
im still a firerate enjoyer on zhukovs
nice video thanks
One of the most common questions from greenbeards on the drg discord is “I just got 3 bulks on a mission, is that normal?”
Very informative; right to the point; keep it up!
The Dominator is just a much better Slugger
Great vid, thank you!
Your presentation quality is peak ngl
This is the exact video i needed for getting my head around the topic, but unfortunately it didnt touch the subject i was trying to solve! My character is a great old one warlock (to begin with), and the point of it (in combat, at least) is to throroughly abuse hex/bestowCurse, how much would it change the numbers on it? Sure its not going to be the only source of damage, but my conclusion from this video is that a single big weapon would be better by itself while dual wielding has the POTENTIAL of doing something greater if you add effects to the hits be it hex or coating, equipment or whatever else, unfortunately the data on that front wasnt enough. But again, great video! Thanks for it.
oh this is smart gonna try in S5!
You can use great weapon fighting with dual wield provided both weapons are versatile(it says on the wiki, but uppon testing, it doesnt work T.T)
Laser cannon is really hard to fit into terminids, it works amazing against destructibles, flyers, spitters, and any other bug. The problem is it can't do much against chargers and titans, and especially when they add the giant worms eventually lol. Thoughts?
Here I was wasting an entire flamethrower canister on chargers 🥲
OG railgun and one shot bile titan.. good memories
*and then they buffed EFS*
I have about 100 hours and I'm still learning new things with this game, this video helped a lot, ty bro
In my opinion, two handed fighting should allow more attacks. It makes no sense great weapons hit more times on a turn than 2 weapons.
