    at 6:10 - after I did some audio analysis...the first 3 shots sound different than the next 5 shot burst. I wonder if that might not have been a 2nd shooter? Also, I think there was an extra shot in there that I believe I heard.

    You're a great shot, awesome groups with both. I love My Beretta's, haven't shot the CZ . I've only been at it for a few years now, I tried changing My grip strong hand to super tight with little finger and ring finger to help wrist lock up , this helped My recoil and recovery for a flatter shot . "Pew Pew" channel, gets his support hand rotated more forward for super flat recoil, almost no vertical flip at all , amazing skill and control, the Guy's finger is like full-auto , crazy good. Thanks Man ❤

    For a take down you don't need a scope. Some hi viz sights and a reflex type red dot will do you. These are not precision guns, if you want that get a fixed barrel or another gun. I have both and all the tricked out gear is on my other rifle, this ones for bunnies and squirrels and general plinking.

    @@jmjones7897 It's not a 1:1 comparison. 9x19 is tapered (0.011" base to neck), .38 Special is straight. 9x19 requires specific bullet nose profiles for magazine and chamber feeding, limiting the hollow point size and raising expansion velocities. 9x19 is .355 diameter and .38 Special is .357 diameter. While the pressures are much higher in 9x19, the case is working with much less internal volume as well; .38 Special is 75.9% greater capacity for powder and expansion, using similar weight bullets. .38 Special is tolerant to any kind of bullet material and shape, 9x19 is not. Using a 9x19 in a 357mag chamber means the 9x19 case will swell at least 11 thousandths at the neck and bullet jump will be significant to the cylinder throat leading to velocity and accuracy issues. Maybe it exists, but I've not seen any example of just using a moon clip on a .357mag chamber to run 9x19, instead of replacing with a specific 9x19 cylinder.

    Great way to incorporate dry fire into live fire range time, don’t throw anything at me. I happen to run into a barely fired Tracker 44, blued version, at a local shop yesterday, I’ve been looking at them anyway, but I pretended not to be interested. I really shouldn’t, but it looks like a fun one to shoot 44spl power hand loads out of, it seems fine with stout rounds too I may go back, but I hope it’s gone, lol, but it’s super clean, no it isn’t, yes it is, and so it goes. I can impulse buy most anything.

    I would caution use of .380 in 9mm cylinder/ chamber for rhe following reason- 9 Parabellum is a tapered cartridge with a larger base diameter than. 380 acp It's not a simple difference of overall length and pressure loading as per .38 Super, .38 Special and .357 magnum I would not reload any of these cartridges fired in oversized for caliber cylinders Brass should be discarded after use

  • @triggerbarPhD
    @triggerbarPhD3 күн бұрын

    Great advice. The deformation on the 380acp brass was significant

  • @jmjones7897
    @jmjones78973 күн бұрын

    @@triggerbarPhD Thanks. Would add that standard ( semi-rimmed) .38 Super is generally safe to fire in .357 chambered cylinders as long as cartridges chamber w/ out difficulty AND the .357 DOES NOT have ( rim cut) recessed cylinders. Semi- rim of .38 Supe should be sufficient for proper heads pace in most .357 chambers. If case gives resistance loading or cartridge rim doesn't catch on square cut cylinder mouth DO NOT fire. Extraction may be difficult due to small rim not catching on extractor star and/ or the Nominal 5 to 6 thousands larger diameter of .38 Supe. Nominal is Nominal and actual o.d. varies, particularly w/ foriegn( non-USA) manufactured ammo. Accuracy may be iffy as well due to length of jump between case mouth and cylinder throat/ forcing cone. Other than should be perfectly safe to fire and maybe just save your bacon in a pinch. Appreciate your work and quality content, brother. Be safe y'all Good shooting to you folks

  • @craigm1954

    That’s what I was thinking, it may be the taper of the 9mm that helps it a bit with headspacing near where it’s supposed to.

  • @jmjones7897
    @jmjones78972 күн бұрын

    @craigm1954 That may be the case that the rear OD + taper of 9mm helps limit forward motion under impact of firing pin of primer. May also be more flex and off center primer strikes w/ .380 and moon clips. More slop between clip + extractor groove of .380 case

  • @craigm1954
    @craigm19542 күн бұрын

    Yup, I think if someone wanted to mess with it, might be able to shim the clip out towards the breech face for 380. Could probably feeler gauge the difference with 9mm, but might not be worth the time.

    Great video. I am a self avowed CZ fan and own and have owned several, though I do have a G45 and G19. It's doubtful that any firearm will completely overtake Glock because of the aftermarket support and sheer loyalty of many Glock owners, but that's fine because this platform is amazing. Question, with the Taylor Freelance backstrap, is the size a medium, large or small? I picked up another P-10c that was used but only has the small backstrap, I want a large one but can't tell if from the Freelance site if they have different sizes?

    To be honest, as I owned several Colts and other 1911s the clone 1911s today are better. Original Colt from 90s and older had a different feel to them compared to today's Colt. Even the Colt Python and King Cobra are not the same. Today's Colt (1911s & Revolvers) are built stronger but the triggers just aren't the same. I heard complaints on the Carbines as well. If they had some of the original builders, it would be a different story. The ones I owned to compare. I once owned 5 Colt 1911s and 8 other 1911s pre-covid until 2022. Colt National Match 1983 80 series model has far better trigger than new Colt National Match 70 series and new Colt Competition. My Remington R1 A1 model has better trigger that both the reproduction Colt 70 & 80 series model. In fact I kept only one Colt now just to move on the Springfield Operator.

    Really interesting to see this problem persist, because the old line of cheetahs also had this issue when they swapped from 84 BB's cocked and locked safety to the F model's decocker. I think the FS model's whole purpose was to fix this issue. But people would find a halfway click on 84 F's that seemed like it should be a safety, but it had the same issue seen here. I'm not sure if the FS actually fixed it or not, though. I mean saying that Beretta coulda seen this coming is kind of an understatement. That's pretty disappointing to see after decades of what I would assume are manufacturing and technological improvements. Still want one lol

I guess until I get to where I'd want something for competition? And that ain't happening anytime soon!! 7:57 - "only have a couple thousand rounds" haha - but is that a common thing with steel cases? I have never bought or shot a single round of that. So a non-factor for me, personally. It looks to have run all the brass just fine? We always appreciate you covering the expense & frustration of things that don't work - so we don't have to!

But for those hunts I was running 168gr TTSX, H4350, 3000fps. A substantially lighter load that performed splendidly on large moose. Haven’t taken anything yet with the new load. The new load has more energy, more velocity, more penetration potential, and a flatter trajectory, plus tighter groups, and lower ES/SD. I feel like this upgraded load allows my 300WSM to perform to its full potential. And the increase in recoil is not significant. Hoping for my first elk soon!

    One thing to remember folks when first getting on paper at 25yd is that it takes roughly 16 - 1/4moa clicks to move 1” on paper. The goal is to just get on paper so it is feasible to do this with just one round on a 1” grid, then make the coarse adjustment based on 16 - ¼moa clicks per inch then go straight to 100yd and dial it in the rest of the way there.
