Funny how eliminating cfc’s didn’t shrink the hole in the ozone…🧐 And just like melting ice doesn’t make the water rise…a hotter fire heats up those sitting around it 😲🤯😎 Great video 😏

Great upgrades mate, the next one will have to be the metal chassis or the alloy gearbox, I have both and they’re great. I also have a Midnight Pumpkin in metallic blue and the new Pajero with tiny tyres. I especially like your new paint job, very nice! 😜🇦🇺👍
I do keep thinking of the metal chassis, I’m really tempted with one, and it would make it bomb proof! Metallic blue is a great colour, is it the TS one? 🤔👍
The metal chassis has all of the upgrades available for an absolutely bomb proof rc, well worth it if you have the funds to purchase all of them, which sadly I don’t have! 🤓
Yes I think it would be cheaper to put a Lunchbox shell on a Terminator 😂👍

Hey nice new shell. Yeah these definitely don't need and more weight on top, that's for sure. You can get lexan one's from Kamtec which are lighter and also the paint is on the inside so doesn't scrape off. Not as much detail as the original but a good basher. Anyway, top work 😁👍👍
We do have a couple of the lexan ones but as you say the detail is a bit vague, definitely more like a jelly mould 🤣😂👍
Great re paint, if you don’t mind me making a little observation re the shocks though, could probably do with some internal fuel tube limiters as it’s jacked up massively, risking dog bone binding etc, it’s your car though! Keep up the great work.
I will definitely pass that on to the Chief Engineer, I know it does have lots of front end landings when hitting jumps, I’ll see what he says 👍
Looks great guys, and it should stay well hidden in a flag store (shops) LOL. I know I know, it's RC so and so (Tamiya) colors, I'm just being an a$$hole (arse).. I don't have a Lunchbox but I do have the Midnight Pumpkin, same issues, a bit top heavy like Dolly Parton.. Great job, great run & awesome video..
It would be able to hide in confetti at any UK or US rally. You have the chrome Pumpkin I think, I bet your heart is in your mouth when that takes a tumble 👍
Amazing job, very time consuming but worth it. Our Lunchbox (that I have never had on my channel) has been through so much abuse...the body has been cracked, scratched, repainted numerous times, parts replaced, and was even stomped on by an obnoxious 12 year old girl when my son was running it at a park. And somehow it has survived and we still run it. I may have to give it some love soon, strip it down and give it a good proper paint job. The lunchbox has given us so much joy it deserves it.
They are proper work horses. The yellow one we have is held together by goodwill only at this point, but it still powers on. Lunchboxes have a lot to give 🤔👍
Maybe we need a Pimp My Ride low rider Lunchbox a bit like the low rider Midnight Pumpkin. 😎😎😎

Yeah..that's much better.Looked good with roof rack, but it was a bit to top heavy as you said.
I did think of weighting it but I think you need to know when to stop, and start again 😂👍

Yes I do like it much more. We are away filming this weekend, and are planning a tour with the MF01X so I’m sure I can get that out with a bit of info on the chassis 🤔👍

I will say they have a very low chassis and the beetle shell sits low also, so try and find somewhere vey flat and free of debris 👍

I have seen that they are planning that, I do have to say though our Rally Beetle Tour Guide is more for comfort than speed….. The Jimny we have though, well that’s a different story 🤫😂👍

It turned out great and the red, white and blue camo scheme was a cool idea! It should help disguise some of the road rash it will end up with over time! Good to see you back out banging the Lunchie around again!

I'm not guna lie..... When you first introduced the very cool, but top heavy tactile lunchbox my first thought was "that's guna be too top heavy"!! The center of gravity is already on the limits with this model.... but it certainly looked great! Totally agree with you on the Tamiya grey primer..... definitely the best of the three options, albeit a tad pricey those Tamiya dinky cans! As for the new design - Great work, it looks superb! I bet that was a nightmare cutting out and placing all that masking?! Well worth it in the end, that's a really original design guys! 👌 I had to cringe when I saw that ramp though.... I thought "No way are they going to send it and scrape up all that nice new paint"!!! 😱 But hey, the first tumbles always the worst right?! 😉 I have to maintain, the best way to keep lunchies fun is to keep them stock.... other than the mandatory bearings, metal body posts, and torque tuned motor. Go any further and it starts loosing the quirks that we all love it for! 👍 👍 👍
I’m glad I did the camouflage as it hides a lot of sins including future issues, and we had the ramp, so what the hell. I would say replacing bits with aluminium is fine, but when you get to the world of widening the chassis and so on, I think you need to look at a different model really. Some top tip videos just use it for an excuse to like in bits you don’t need, and over complicate them, but that’s a rant for another time 👍

He has a very busy career, and I think he was on the road with him 👍 the guy in the middle is the dad of the bloke from the 1975 also, for any pop fans out there

Great video. Cheers. Did you find the blitzer would pull to one side when accelerating - almost as though the torque was drawing it over? Steering is perfectly aligned. Just tends to rip to one side when the hammers down.
In fairness this one is quite Bob on, I do have cars like that, and I feel I am forever messing around with the tracking on the controller even though the steering is straight 🤷♂️🙄👍

The revamped Blitzer Beetle looks great! I love the color and the martini livery is really cool! I looked like it was having a great time running around as well!!! I am sure the Chief Engineer was!

Hang on..... It's not Thursday!!!? Global warming??🤔 🙄 Yeah right, how do the politicians expect us to believe that.... haven't they seen our UK summers over the last two years?!! But, one thing I do commend is the regeneration of RC cars..... it's a fundamental part of the hobby for many of us! Loving the new colour, and a very resourceful use of those ever nice martini decals from the Porshe, looks sweet. Good move outing the GT tuned motor..... I find those totally gutless personally, the one in my Avante is so slow! The Blitzer is a real fun kit for sure, and by far the best handling of all the available Tamiya beetles by a long shot. Loving the POV camera footage here, especially nice footage around that gorgeous water scenery back drop to. Couldn't help but notice all that cloud..... but at least this means we don't have to worry about any holes in the ozone layer now right? 😂 👍 👍 👍
Yes thought I’d get a video out, so stand down we’re not quite at the weekend yet! Have you seen those pictures showing weather 20 years ago and it’s the exact same temperature but these days they colour it in warning red 🙄 The GT Tuned is a bit of a wet squib really, but it’s good to try all the motors in case we’re missing a gem. I don’t know why they don’t just plug the hole with a Trump style toupee 💇

Probably asking for more holes there mate..... but caused from lefty snipers shooting at it rather than cfc's from tins of hairspray!! 😂 As for the climate, these so called scientists need to look at the larger picture..... There is no such thing as 'normal' climate..... It has constantly fluctuated in all directions since the beginning of time. 🤷♂️ All I know is that this year is the first ever summer that I have had to wear a hoody to work in June! 🙄 👍 👍 👍

Yes some models are like hens teeth, makes you think though there is a model shop somewhere stocked full of all these hard to find models. It’s just finding it 🤣😂👍
Just got my black edition monster beetle. I also have VQS and just got done building my 3rd Clod Buster.
That sounds like an awesome arsenal of Tamiyas! We will have to try and get another Clod one day, as it’s a hell of a machine 👍
@@RCsoandso I also have an original Blackfoot with original sees aluminum wheels 🛞. 2016 Blackfoot black edition Midnight pumpkin 🎃 and black edition Lunchbox. Also I have been looking for an original Bullhead if you could help find one. I have been building these trucks for my physical therapy for all my physical surgeries and for my PTSD.

I’ll keep my eye out for a Bullhead, you do see them on Facebook groups up for sale from time to time. I’d love a tractor but again they are as rare as hens teeth🤣😂👍
We never had those in the USA the real ones anyway.

You should 100% free it from the box and get it out in the wild, they are great fun to drive and can take on most things 👍
@@RCsoandso I will should I put some better shocks in it and run on a brushed torque tuned motor then on 2s
I think Torque Tuned is a great motor, it’s perfect for models like Lunchboxes as it can shift these larger cars around. You can get some great aftermarket shocks now that do a great job, I like to also use a really stiff oil with mine 🤔👍

The kit is more a pimped up TT02 chassis, with a few extras. The review is always FOC 🤣😂😂

I did think it would rain at any moment, but seemed to stay dry, I think it does need some work and hop-ups then it could be quite a mean machine 🤔🤣😂👍
@@RCsoandso I changed the rear of my Blackfoot to a double wishone suspension systen (Ampro). My drive shafts fell out after a few seconds. And reinforced the chassis and gearbox. Also a MIP ball diff. Now it runs perfect. But it also trippöed the price of the kit😒
That’s a great point you raise. It’s like my main Lunchbox, the hop-ups were as expensive as the kit, added to this extras and replacement parts and paint, it’s a dear hobby😳
Ooh you are brave running and jumping this fragile hard bodied Tamiya on tarmac! You seemed to get away with it apart from the driver falling out so I guess they aren't as breakable as I thought. Great stuff guys 😁👍👍
I would be pretty confident in comparison what I have . Build a hot wheels slash cat ontop a cw01 original lunchbox. Material is pretty stiff (hardfoam)but not the party where I glued. I decreased the speed about 60-70% 😂 mentioned it because it is also a monster
We also thought the light rig had gone for a Burton, but we found it afterwards, lots of glue will solve this issue, and I think a theme change soon, they are hardcore beasts 👍
I had to Google Slash Cat, and it brought up Slash holding a cat! Hardfoam is good stuff, you can build all kinds of insane creations 👍
