The fact the Arrow bends on the Compound proves the Arrow bends from the string as well. So really, a Compound Crossbow would also cause Archer's Paradox.

easy to see how this practice as machinery could be lost to history without people like Bob telling them how to use it and maintain it. It's not like they made manuals for this stuff.

Artemis - 15+ rockets just for refueling. Apollo - one 3 stage rocket for entire mission. Defies credulity. The elephant in the room and the emperors new suit rolled into one. It explains why KZread gives this otherwise milk toast talk a context warning.

YOU don't know what changed?? I'll fill you in. They redesigned the ridiculous "hatch" cover that required the removal of multiple bolts to open. The new hatch could be opened in three seconds and might have saved those men. And the atmosphere in the capsule was changed to 60/40 oxygen/nitrogen mix instead of pure oxygen. So, what changed was that the geniuses who created the original design really weren't geniuses after all. . .and had to admit it. There was NOTHING complicated about what they changed. The complicated part is getting human beings to use their brains instead of their egos. ANY organization that doesn't function well is TOTALLY the fault of those running it, because THEY create the "corporate" atmosphere that either fosters an attitude of complete honesty and communication, or an atmosphere of dishonesty and fear of communication. There was absolutely NO excuse for what happened. . .NONE!

We went to the moon to show up the Russians. Almost no real science was performed. If we go back to the moon it will be for industry which is about profit and almost never about pure science. Today engineers whine that we don't have the means of reaching the moon in any substantial way. However the Saturn 5 Rocket did the job and we could, if truly motivated, reproduce Saturn 5 Rockets.

I am impressed with your brilliance! I worked in SPACETRACK in the 60's. Software guy. Philco 2000 in assembly language tracking satellites. No core protection. Updates often done by installing "octal patches" instead of recompiling. When I arrived in 65, they were still talking about the octal patch that set off the "bomb alarms" at SAC HQ. SAC scrambled... Afterwards, a three-star from SAC was roaming the NORAD hallways shouting: "You mean to tell me a civilian scrambled SAC? I don't even have authority to scramble SAC!" If possible, do testing in a non-live environment... 🙂

So let me ask you this. If you would had influenced the water when it drained out of the pool to drain the other way, oposite of whats being shown, shouldnt the water slow down conaidering its going "against the grain" of the natural drain flow? I wish he would did another pool experiment the exact same way but took something and swirled the water in the opposite direction, and lets what would have happened. It ahould either come to a stop and start draining as it shows in thia video or it should at slow down substantially. Its almost like having your ceiling fan on, and flipping the switch that makes it rotate in the opposite dirwction, i know thats not safe, but if the fan is spinning, and flip that switch it will slow down until it stops and starts rotating in the opposite direction. I know that there are forces being applied to make the fan slow down and rotate opposite as it has a motor but just using that as visual example of what i want to see. Alter the flow to the opposite direction, see if it slows down, and if there is enough water in said pool, it should eventually stop and atart draining the opposite direction.
