tamron and its focus breathing at 150mm will make it a lot shorter, Tamron just never cared for focus breathing. I do have it.
Hi Adrian, a great video, buddy! It's definitely a good idea to keep the firmware up to date. Really a great explanation, thank you for the video 😉 Enjoy your Sunday, Christian
I totally agree with you. I don't need anything more then her 🙂
I've had mine since new, still my daily in 2024
great job
Thanks, Adrian! I was not aware of this firmware release. I'll update mine straight away.
Thank you for walking us through on how to do the updates. Have a great weekend my friend…. 📸👏🙏🏼
Well that was easy!! Thanks Adrian, that prompted me to check my Z7 and I noticed that I have version 3.60. Anyway, I am sure that many will point it out to you that there is an update available for your Z7. Thanks again my friend!
Thanks for explaining all the steps. So easy to follow.
Glad it was helpful! Enjoy your weekend 🙏
Clear and concise, thx man 🤙
No problem 👍
Fingers crossed this fixes that focus issue for those that were having trouble. I personally had no issues with my copy of the lens 🤞📸
Great video. I bought the D750 new in 2015 and it has been all over the world, and like yours, never missed a shot. It's a keeper.
Its now 2024 and im hoping to purchase the D850 soon. I need a big brother for my 7200. Thanks for the review.
With where I live I have an open water view. Whales, Eagles, Gulls, Herons, Ravens and all kinds of small birds right out back! Trouble I have has is my 70mm to 300mm Nikkor needs an update. I did buy a 10mm to 20mm wide lens which is exceptional on my Nikon D5300 which was my late twins she gave me a few years before she died. I have two other lenses so this is the one I would choose due to what I already have! I paid to have the Nikon D5300 reconditioned and will continue to update lenses for it. I also have a Sony A73 which I will eventually add a big zoom lens to. Its cheaper for me to shop to buy the used 200mm to 500mm Nikon lens! I think my other lens that is up to 300mm is good enough not to have to get the up to 400mm one. So I am planning on getting the 200mm to 500mm lens. I really appreciate your comparisons! I have tweaked my settings to get really good long away shots with that other lens so I am looking forward to the reach this one will have! I can tripod outside and just have fun.. Yesterday 7 different birds I took pics of hand held with the 70mm to 300mm lens. I do have several lenses for the Sony and will be adding a zoom lens to that one later...I want the big 600. I may be 60 years old but I can carry 5 lbs for miles! I also have a photography back pack if needed.
Both are great, I own both, if money isn't an issue just buy the D850 and be happy. In my opinion the D850 is the finest DSLR ever made. Add the vertical grip and use the larger ENEL18 battery and you get a battery that seems to last forever and an increase in fps to 9 frames a second. If money is tight the D750 is excellent and 7fps isn't shabby either. 😊
Still own my D750, used it a couple of weeks ago despite having the D850, Z6II and Z9. The images out of the D750 still impress me and the dynamic range of the sensor is extremely forgiving with great exposure lattitude. I've always maintained that if you can't get the image with a D750 then the problem is with you. 😉
I still have my D750 and no plans to sell it. I looked at the second-hand prices and think they are a great value. I use mine for stills, but bought another model, the Z50, for video. I'm hoping to upgrade the Z50 to the Z6iii if it ever comes out.
Hello Adrian, as I write this, for Father's Day here in the USA, Nikon has reduced the price of a new D850 to its lowest price ever, i.e. $2,199.99. If someone is thinking of this camera (and I own 2 ), now is its lowest price point ever.
Thank you for the reasons . I have Nikon Z 180-600mm f5.6-6.3 vr and wish to know if the lens will pair with D850?
No unfortunately
nice review as always. i was wondering if i could use this with my nikon z30 apsc that is not a full frame camera? if it can be, does it works the same or how different? sorry for this beginner question and thank you in advance🙏🏼
Thank you for watching. It's ok we were all beginners at some stage. The answer is yes you can use this lens on the Z30. However, because the Z30 is an APSC camera, that means you'll get a crop of 1.5 onto full frame lenses. 40mm x 1.5 = 60mm in focal length. The aperture does not change however. Hope this helps.
Hi, I really like this camera and it never leaves my Nikon 500 f/4 which makes a great combo for wildlife and large birds in flight. However, the D850 is fast approaching 250k shutter actuations and I’m looking at options. Would you recommend the Z8 or another D850? Would I need a lens adapter for the 500 f/4 to fit the Z8? Thanks!
Personally - I would go for a Z8 + Nikon 180-600mm
Bonjour pour vous qui a le meilleur piqué à 600 le tamron 150-600 ou le nikon 180 600mm merci
180-600mm 🙏
Its always a joy to watch your videos, they ooze positivity about wildlife and photography.
All my viltrox lenses are excellent and this is coming from someone that has top of the line nikon native lenses.
I have 2. Plus a D810. The D750s are my work tools (real estate photography). The D810 rarely gets used (although it's images are stellar it has odd metering and poor low light performance). The main negative is the loud shutter.
Great pros/cons. A lot to think about from somebody close to buying a d850 or z8
Professional wedding photographer here too, I always have my D750 on my left and my A7iii on my right. It’s my dream team 😊
I would love to see example photos (stars/night photos) especially demonstrating how much coma the lens produces.
I did make a video on this at the end of this one.
Great photos Adrian. Fantastic to get the colour of the aurora in the waterfall, that is so cool. Cheers
Was just gifted the 750 for my father as an upgrade for my 700, can't wait to take it out.
Great tips Adrian, living in Nottinghamshire I often have to employ most of these!! All the best mate👌👌👍👍
Cheers Scott for watching. I would imagine you would mate. Have a super week ahead 🙏
I’ve really enjoyed watching all of your super telephoto reviews and comparisons! Would you recommend this lens over the 200-500 + adapter? Sharpness and af accuracy/consistency are the things I’m valuing over the disparity in size/weight.
Thanks for watching my videos. Yes I would choose this Tamron any day over the 200-500 with FTZ adaptor. Tamron is sharper, faster to focus and so much lighter and more compact.
Thanks for the quick reply and recommendation! I’ll have this lens on order as soon as I find some money… 😅
D750 Maincamera in 2024
Amazing capture! I need to take my D750 and Nifty Fifty out for some astrophotography!
I bought my D750 secondhand a few years ago. It's the best camera I've ever owned! Other photographers with newer cameras scoff at my beloved D750 but as we all know the photographer's ability is more important than their gear. I'll make the switch to mirrorless someday but the D750 does everything I ask of it with ease.
Hi Although it has been a few months since the video was published I am watching the video from Israel The price here ranges from 2330 US dollars in the store without duty up to 2730 US dollars for the body only Thanks for the interesting video haim
Out in the field, it really perfoms well! Nice photos!
Many thanks for watching, cheers 🙏
Never heard of Astrhori but from your review seems like a quality lens for the price. Question: maybe it is the KZread video quality but in the outdoor photos of your wife which by the way she is very pretty, it seems like the bokeh was fairly busy and not real soft. Not sure about this one, maybe worth saving a little more and getting something of a higher quality. Thanks again Adrian, always enjoy your content.
Thanks for watching. Probably KZread compression re background. It was ok in my pics on my laptop. I think if they update the firmware this lens will perform better all round. Have a great weekend.
Great job my man.
Thanks for the visit
Great review, Adrian! It looks much better doing real-world work than test charts. Thanks for including both.
Thanks Phil. Really appreciate you watching. Enjoy yuor weekend
Hi Adrian, a great review, buddy! The property between price and what you get for is stunning. Ideal for portrait photography. Really a great lens. Enjoy your weekend, Christian
Thanks for watching Christian. It works as a portrait lens, just needs a few minor adjustments with perhaps some firmware updates. Hope you have an amazing weekend buddy, cheers 🙏
Another great review for a budget lens Adrian and good price. Good demo and clips. Many thanks for sharing the info. Have a great weekend.
Many thanks for watching Shaun. Hope you have a great weekend mate cheers 👍🙏
Nice thorough review. The shots & video look crisp and lovely with beautiful bokeh in the background. For a budget lens its quite good. My favourite was the purple flower shot.
Thanks for watching, enjoy your weekend 🙏
Overall this lens is very good. I think with a future firmware update the F1.8 issue I was having could possibly be remedied. I have sent my findings onto Astrhori tech dept. Just for some retail comparison… Astrhori 85mm F1.8 Nikon Z mount = $249USD Nikon Z 85mm F1.8S = $695USD 🤔
I was thinking the same thing about a firmware update.
Excellent comparison vid. I appreciate the content for us DSLR users, in this age of mirrorless!
Thanks for watching!
That was amazingly helpful. I just updated my Nikon Z-Mount Viltrox 20mm and 85mm in a few seconds with no issues at all. Many thanks for making and posting this.
hello what is your model tripod i find it fantastic
skip to 2:43 in this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/a22ClKSCgrbOmLg.htmlsi=QPBVVRjn745SnKSZ that’s what I’m using in this video
This is a very informative video, well explained and very well considered. I use a D7000, D600, D750 and D800 depending on what I am photographing. I have considered part exchanging a couple of cameras towards a D850 but have resisted the temptation. Perhaps I have done the right thing. I rarely shoot above ISO 1000 and I rarely print over 18" x 12", so I doubt the D850 would offer many advantages. It's comforting to hear this from a knowledgeable photographer like yourself and yes I agree, a photographer's technique and skill is often more important than the technical specification of a camera
I'm about to buy the 27 voltrox. I already have the 14-24 f2.8 z/s according to which is it worth selling the Nikon and using the 27 viltrox as a wide angle, which will keep company with the Tamron 35-150? I'm talking about wide angle. or am I better off keeping it in my bag? what would you do? Thank you
Hope you realize the Viltrox 27mm is an APSC lens which means it’s a 40mm full frame equivalent which means it’s not wide angle. Plus you lose half your MPs. Id be sticking with your Nikon 14-24 2.8 if I were you
@@adrianalfordphotography absolutely agree. In the video I saw that you use it with the z7, I would use it with the z6II, but the fact that it is a right one already loses something. I will evaluate on trial
Amazing and Informative Video
