I've considered cloud security engineering and cyber security analyst. My question is are there any books I can purchase that would replace online courses in either of those two courses. Please let me know. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
i saw a lot of entry level jobs asking for 2 years minimum of experience, im thinking thats why im applying for entry level. the best job site i found was glass door.
So you only work a couple of hours a day?
I love this
Thanks! :D
You may
Tbh Sandra I wanna see you with a ThinkPad.
My first laptop I bought in college was a refurbished ThinkPad :D!
@@WithSandra That’s great. Love your videos. I have a $400 Thinkpad the RAM is maxed out, my only gripe with it is the 4-hour battery life. Any advice on getting an entry-level tech role? In college rn almost done with my AS gonna transfer for my BS soon. Was looking at help desk positions but they all seem to have requirements that say they want 2 or 3 years experience. I have around 1.5 years exp in retail . I don’t have any certs though I was one off from passing the MS Azure cloud fundamentals exam found it pretty easy with like 2 hours of studying beforehand.
My Idol fr.
The constant learning means we wint get Dementia.
My favorite part about cyber security is problem solving and research.
Cybersecurity. Because it's cooler & more fun
id like to practice pentest with you
am I able to obtain this occupation and position by simply attending a boot camp such as level effect with no it experience or education or certifications.. just strictly the completion of the cybersecurity boot camp at level affect?
Do you think it pays off to chase the last days of S+ 601 and pay for it, and then obtain S+ 701 as well as an advantage, or just directly to go S+ 701?? Thank to all that respond!
Depends on where you live.
Depends.
As a newbie with no experience or degree should I get a certified cyber security certification first?
can you review CCD from CyberDefenders?
this helped more then youll ever know, THANKYOU
Hello Sandra , I'm Amit, from India and I also watching your cybersecurity video but . Currently I'm in confused Why - I don't have any GED or bachelor degree. I'm only 10th pass in indian High school system means sophomore, unfortunately financial issues for my study . if I earn a certification from compTIA or Coursera then can I get a job ?
Hey, thanks for your question! There's nothing that's 100% to guarantee a job after college, but having Sec+ and a Google Cyber cert will definitely help along with a strong technical project portfolio. A college degree will help depending on the job requirements that're common where you live. Apply to internships and co-ops while you're studying. Best of luck to you!
What do your work days typically look like? FYI You can get 50% off Keeper Password Manager with code WITHSANDRA at www.keeper.io/with-sandra
Your super cute. With those nice sculpted cheek bones and feminine demeanor, lol. But for seriously. This video gave me a nice breakdown on this topic. Thank you.
How does this compare to something like CCD from CyberDefenders or the CDSA from HTB??
Why Are U Mentioning CompTia Certs For A Tech That Aren't Cybersecurity Certs?
Sorry the way you talk I lost interest in the vedio
the CompTIA certificate is different from the compTIA exam?
Hello Sandra. I recently passed the Security # exam and I come from a financial institution background. I'm very interested in a career in GRC. Based on your list which GRC job should I focus on?
Thinking to start my journey here, any suggestions would be much appreciated. I have a full time job situation and zero background on any computer/technology. Is it better for me to study go AA for IT or an 2yrs associate degree on cybersecurity? Thank you so much in advance!
Bella looks just like my cat, Baby Ana. How precious!
Hey the book you listed is for the SY0-601 exam which is being retired next month. Do you have any recommendations for the SY0-701? Thanks!
Too quickly speaks. Cannot understand
I advice people to take the Google Cybersecurity course. It’s the best
My problem is I'm not good at programming and I don't understand programming so should I definitely start to learn programming first before I get into cybersecurity
From the Symposia website. Professional Competence: Demonstrate a strong understanding of cybersecurity and GRC analysis. Possess relevant professional skills and prior experience in cybersecurity.
Boring and can be fully automated.
Hello, I'm 18 and I've decided to take an IT course. I plan in finishing my 4 year course there, then after that I'll try to take cybersec after if I still can. What do you think about this? and is information technology still viable? is this career future proof or am I going to lose my job due to innovation and ai?
Sandra, any update on your job search ?
Thank you for asking! :) So far, I've done one interview (I'm looking for a specific role that could use my experience in blue team + GRC to have some overlap in my interests), I have noticed employers are slower to follow up now in this current job market compared to even just a few years ago. I'll try to post more regular updates on this!
thank you for the insights Sandra
NP! Glad this could be helpful :)!
Any VA Gi Bill approved?
I graduated with a BS last year in cyber sec and networking engineering. I have 5 years helpdesk experience. should I just go for my cysa+ and start gunning for those security analyst roles? the burnout for helpdesk is starting to get to me considering I'm trying to save for a house after paying off my debts :/
YES, apply! You already have 5 yrs of helpdesk exp that will make you stand out, CYSA+ and maybe even Sec+ just so the credential is on your resume since its a popular HR cert. Best of luck to you, you got this!!
@@WithSandra tyvm you rock <3
I would say there are maybe two GRC roles I would be interested in. They are IT Auditor and Risk Analyst. I am more interested in IT Auditor role however...
Sounds like you're interested in the more technical side of Auditing, which is awesome! Risk analyst work is really interesting as well, especially if you work for big organizations. Wishing you the best of luck starting your GRC career! I'll be sharing a video soon on reviewing a beginner GRC that should be helpful (UnixGuy's GRC Mastery course - www.grcmastery.com/courses/cyber-security-consulting-grc?affcode=1703194_24dkmpxa )
Can I get into grc without any prior cyber security knowledge??
Yes, there are lots of different course options and you dont need any cyber or technical experience. I actually just finished UnixGuy's GRC Mastery course and will be sharing a video reviewing that very soon! 👀 GRC Mastery Course linked - www.grcmastery.com/courses/cyber-security-consulting-grc?affcode=1703194_24dkmpxa
@@WithSandra thanks! ✌️✌️
Mm😊😢😂🎉😮😅
I am 37, and just got my bachelors degree in IT two years ago. I have been procrastinating (mostly scared) to pursue career in IT. I just dont know where to start. I am currently an admin asst. in maintenance and operations but I feel like I am wasting my time here esp. after spending $30k for my degree. I love technology and want to do something within the field. cybersecurity seems like a great start. I also like to troubleshoot. Any other recommendations for IT Careers? Any good remote jobs? I have two little one’s at home so that would be super helpful.
Thank you for this. I graduated with my bachelors in IT. And was wondering which route to go for my certification. I have been procrastinating for a year since I graduated. So I am thinking of studying for the security A+. I am looking to work part time remotely on the weekends since I currently work full time at a district for admin asst. of operations. But my passion is IT. Does anyone have recommendations of where I can study for Security +? Where should I start.
I've been watching a lot of your videos n I love how you break down everything I'm interested.
You look like sad from inside out
Fans? 0:00 no one is your fan
More GRC please. I really want to get into it
Can the course be paid thru GI BILL?
