Looks like a good upgrade.
So far they are a good upgrade. The car is done now. I’ll have more footage in upcoming vidoes.
❤ amazing video very informative. We are tuned into the series. This is amazing. Keep it coming.
Thanks!
Good Vid/Tutorial! Doing mine now. Quoted price was around $800 from shop. Doing mine for $320 inculding belt, thermostat, pump, and flush
Thanks! It’s always good to save some money and do it yourself.
Looking to replace my clutch fan with a set of dual electric fans. How does the set you have work? I have the same exact radiator. Do you mind linking me to those and the shroud. Thanks in advance and great video!
Thanks! The fans are from monster cooling on eBay a duel 12” w/shroud. We added them to a newly replaced stock style radiator. They cool well. If you are using a/c I’d recommend spal fans.
The fan controller is from the autocool guy.
@@KoolFredsGarage Ok, thanks! Right now with the clutch fan, the a/c gets down to 40° and the temp hangs at around 195°-200°. So the spal fans cool better? I definitely want to go more modern and get rid of the old faithful, hoping I could gain just a bit more HP. I’ll check those out.
@@PrimeG2 That’s not bad numbers with the stock set up though.
❤❤
What was your total job time on this?
Around 4hrs to complete.

Way better than stock alpine?
These are more clearer and do sound better if u want to enhance the sound.
How is this fix holding up?
It’s a year latter still good.
The you use the A/C terminal? how did you wire it?
This particular car was not running a/c. For info on this controller and instructions u can ck out www.autocoolguy.com
Hey Kool Fred! Thanks for making and sharing your video of how to install a VIOFO PRO A229 2 Channel Dash Camera! I just purchased one and I am expecting tomorrow :-) I've been doing a LOT of research on which one to get and I found a great deal on eBay for the A229 I picked up. I got it for $137!!! Anyways, I am looking into getting a hardwire kit to install so I can take advantage of the Park Mode for security and after hour recording. I found this video on what someone else did: kzread.info/dash/bejne/a3aXtbNydsXMZ9I.htmlsi=3VXYFZzT7Rf1XczP I also might use the option of getting the VIOFO HK4 Hardwire kit and splicing it to a IROAD OBD2 Cable so I can just plug it into the OBD port underneath the steering wheel. As you know, you cannot go through the firewall to tap into the fuse box :-( Here is a good video on the OBD connector option: kzread.info/dash/bejne/n4aVtJSmqZTHcsY.htmlsi=4rGkZJdKLy6-RXNd Hope you were able to get your hardwire option working the way you wanted to!
Thanks for the info and thanks for sharing these videos with me. Honestly I have not had time to install the park kit be cause i have not researched a safe place to get the fused ignition power from. This is an Awesome dash cam have had it for a year now.ive been using the cigarette power outlet. Ill ck out those video's. i've already caught 2 accidents of of other vehicles its definitely good insurance to have.
@KoolFredsGarage - awesome! Can't wait to get mine installed. I'm thinking about getting the Internal IR Camera for mine too..
How much would your shop charge for this work ?
I Service BMW vehicles. however this is my personal pickup truck and i took the door panel off to see if I could do something to fix this myself. and I was able to come up with a quick solution. I'm not actually sure the fix at the ram dealership or if they will just try to sell u a door panel i would say 1hr to 1.5hrs of labor is fair.
Hott
Do ur truck has the limited slip rear?
Yes Sir. Limited slip W/ 3.92 Gear ratio
Great video bro
Thanks Bro!

at the moment i can't take on any extra projects.
@@KoolFredsGarage I gotcha thx
🫡🦾
I have a 73, also. I’ll be asking a lot of questions 😂🫡
Simple when compared to dissembling half the engine on a LS to to get their garbage AFM lifters.... Oh and lets not forget the broken exhaust bolts that you'll spend hours trying to remove. BTW...Back in the day there were very few lifter ticks I could not fix with a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil. It's worth a try before tearing into engine.
I've heard all the stories. The Ls Stuff is impressive though. im staying away from DoD and Afm especially in a classic ride. Hopefully I can play around with a LS Build one day.
I believe I'm having the same issue. however, it starts smooth, starts taps after a min or two on cold start then it goes away after it warms up completely. Once I turn the engine off a while and start again back to tapping again and goes away. But the sound seems like it's coming from the bottom left.
Mines Turned out to be a collapsed lifter on cyl 1 exhaust. That fixed it. Its been fixed not for 3 1/2 months just getting around to getting the video footage uploaded for it.
Nice setup! Did you have the A/C line to the compressor special made for the serpentine belt?
Thx! a local shop that specializes in a/c did it for me. they also did a lot of classic cars to but they closed down a few years back.
Clean ride!
Detroit n da building car nice but header should not be cherry red while running day or night .🤓
Fuel injected donks are for winners, come on!!!!! very nice nice ride bruh. Home made stethascope is gangster, keep it gangster dog, keep it gangster. Your whip is a panty-dropper for true
Thanks man! preachate That!
Nice work
Thanks!
2016 ram 1500 sport, just did this fix, thanks for the tutorial!
No problem!
Great video. Im going to go with the same speakers. Youre the second guy to mention putting the single line speaker in the front, and the 3 way speaker in the rear doors. Ill be doing the dash speakers also
Thanks! i was just thinking the way the designed it from the factory. The front speakers are the midbass. so it makes sense. Hope You enjoy the improved sound.
