Maybe I missed the explanation in a previous episode, but what exactly is this tank's eventual destination after the upcoming show? You've put a lot of time and sweat into about half of a tank while you've got at least one on the property that is a MUCH better resto candidate. Also, any idea how that idler wheel got crushed? It looks like the one you replaced it with was stouter, too.
@514thmick6 күн бұрын
The Matilda Mk.II belongs to my mate, we have some other parts for that, the transmission engines etc but not sure how far we will go with it. As for the Grant we plan to put a V8 Cummins in it and turn her into a M31 TRV in the end (to tow our Sherman's about) but its a few years work. I have no idea what happened to the idler wheel, probably damage from her days as a bull dozer on an Australian farm but the wheel we replaced it with is the same as the one we took off. We have a few other tanks and vehicles that take up a lot of our time so no real time scale or dates for anything, just needed them sorted for this Capel Military Show.
