Hi, my name is Mark Friday! I am a photographer and videographer from Hong Kong! This channel is dedicated to creating videos about cameras, gear and tech!
The original 7artisans 35mm f1.2 is without aperture click. And the mk2 is with aperture click. I know it because i has writen with 7artisans about the difference between the Versions. I prefer the original because clickeless (for video good) and it's character.

With the modern line up of fast lenses, it's virtually impossible to differentiate between crop and full frame for most use cases of photos online these days anyway. Who could be bothered carrying around full frame?

That's actually the only con that I can think about regarding the Instax Mini Evo. But I can see it being a very appealing and useful feature for certain people. I use an old Polaroid SX-70 Alpha 1 so that's what I call an actual analog camera so having something different like the Instax Mini Evo it's actually quite refreshing. I'm excited to see what I'm excited to see if Instax can make a square and wide version of the Evo!

idk man, all your points just pushed me further to spending the extra money on a PD capture clip instead of the falcam system. I trust metal over cables and plastic, especially that rubber plastic crap that will liquefy in some years time. And you stating that you've used the PD system for 5 years, and those were the only downsides kinda just sold me that it's something that I'd expect to last.

I usually take pictures with my phone, but a couple of years ago, I had a Fujifilm x100f and I just miss having a camera to take the photos instead of my phone. Therefor Im looking for a compact camera that kind of serves me the same way as the Fujifilm did for under 750$. Is this camera a good fit for me? You can call me a beginner, and I only to photography. Those cons you mention here wouldnt affect me.

2/3 sensor with 3.9-6.3 aperture this piece of crap doesn't compare to G7XII
@markfriday9 күн бұрын
Hey, Tony! Thanks for the input! It definitely won't compare to a G7X II of G7X III which both I own and still use often. But there's something to be said about the unavailability of it right now, people have no other options so I'm trying to look for one that at least can do a fraction of what it can do. This camera performs decently in photography but definitely not in videography because of that small sensor. But still usable for beginners and for people who have a small budget. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! Appreciate it!

Hey, FYI, the aparature ring might not be broken, they make these lenses with de-clicked aparature - common with cine lenses, but it might be different for this particular model, idk. besides that, nice review :)
@markfriday17 күн бұрын
Hey, David! Thanks for leaving a comment! But I'm pretty sure mine is broken, haha, because when I went to the 2nd hand camera shop, there were two copies being sold of the lens, one was more expensive because that one had no defects, I just chose this one because the price was a no-brainer and I'm used to using manual focus anyway so the overly-slippery aperture ring doesn't really bother me.

I've had mine since 2014, it's a wonderful but deeply flawed camera. The lens sucks in dust especially if you use the macro mode. There is absolutely zero sealing, dust gets in everywhere and you'll be sending it off for an expensive sensor clean regularly. The autofocus is dreadful and I've missed so many shots. Every single time I've handed mine to somebody and asked them to take my photo it's focused on the background. There's no continuous AF so good luck with a moving subject. For a camera with the same processor and sensor as the original A7, it's a shame they provided zero firmware updates. There's features listed in the manual that are missing from the actual camera. You can't use MF with focus peaking without the camera zooming in on the shot unless you have the hot shoe OLED EVF (expensive). The model 2 ditches the flash for a built in EVF. It doesn't have bad grip you just need to hold your fingers in an unusual shape, you can support the weight with your thumb and three fingers easily.
