I bought the basic square model in 2010 and the battery just went out last week, That’s 14 years and the basic model isn’t even solar powered. Got a new battery installed today for $20. I also have a Rolex explorer that has to be serviced every 4 years at $900 each servicing which comes out to $2700 in the last 14 years. $20 vs $2700.

Pretty big and expensive ride for a first car, but if budget allows - it’s always a winner. For a first car, I’d probably recommend the 100 series. I bit smaller and a bit less expensive (at least the earlier ones).

Picking up my first G in two weeks, my third AMG. I'll have 3 AMGs lined up in the drive! 2007 G55 AMG, black on black..03 S55 AMG and a 2007 ML63 AMG. Those early '00s m113k and m164s were incredibly powerful, reliable, and sound amazing

Just curious which products you might use for maintaining their luster i.e., Saphir or something other or simply nothing and use a horsehair brush and damp cloth like some I've read? I actually purchased mine back in 2020 at a store in Media, PA that was going out of business and I've yet to wear them. I just have a problem, buy things like boots, watches, hats, etc., then fear wearing and damaging them. Crazy I know and hopefully watching this and other videos will give me the motivation finally to start wearing mine. Cheers!

Thank you! You've gotta start wearing them! They only get better. In fact, I wear my original pair more than my new pair. There is something special about well-worn (and banged up) high quality products. I simply use a horse hair brush and venetian shoe cream to keep them in top shape.

Just curious, why you hated the homepod? Lesser integration with spotify or something else? I have 6-7 sonos speakers and I've considered swapping more than a few times because the stability of sonos throughout my ownership has been a solid 4/10.

Interesting! Sonos connectivity hasn't been perfect in my experience, but it has been way better than the HomePods I had - constant issues with those. And I was not keen on the HomePods' sound signature either - Sonos feel way more neutral/natural.

Nowadays it’s ok, but 90% of my system is gen1, so I’m forced into the OG app which also sucks. I’ve only listened to the HomePod in the Apple Store but I was really impressed by the sound, but you’re right it’s not as neutral in profile. I loved the hand over by tapping the phone to the speaker though.

They look great, but the big downside with waxed Barbour jackets is they breathe about as well as a garbage bag. I’ve sold all of mine because of it. Still love my old quilted one, 90s cut was so much better than the current.

Eye-catching and characteristically unique, my Black 2018 G-550 with 33” Falken Wildpeak AT3’s and Gobi Stealth roof rack is boss on and off-road. To the person, every single guy I know has expressed everything thing from like to unbridled envy, and every emotion in between. On the other hand, my hates the truck and prefers the ride of an Escalade. People point, stare, finger-wave when I drive by. It’s definitely a head-turner in most places…except in Miami, where they are as common as a Nissan Altima. 😆

It’s intentional. Limited releases which sell out and their IG isn’t even public. I hope they’ll keep the allure alive. There is a way to get the information (watch their IG lives) and when you do, you’ll find that $1,600 (absolutely an investment) is a bargain for everything going on with this bag. Such a refreshing and intriguing brand.
