The Greatest SUV Ever Made

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I think the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series might be the greatest SUV ever made. I'm here to make my point.

Hey brother, good to see you make vids again 👍 these Landcruisers are very common here in Aus cause they pretty much cover every aspect everyone needs in a car (except good fuel consumption 🤪) but I never knew how people could afford them, most are upwards of $100k

The 100 series has another model that wasn't released in USA, the 105 series. There are a lot of differences between the 2, the main 1 being the 105 has a solid front axle and coil sprung, and different chassis and wheel offsets. Also the 105 only had basic petrol and diesel N/A engines. No factory turbo or V8 options. offsets.

Average price for that model was always around $120k USD, yet, you find it expensive for $80k, thats actually the price of the smaller PRADO, which will now be available next year as the "new Land Cruiser" in the states.

I’ve driven 06/07 with and without AHC and I certainly do prefer AHC. The ride quality certainly is good but the 200 series has other creature comforts. My biggest issue is rust, my 2006 has some rust unfortunately. Now that I’m in CA I could easily take care of it and never look back, but the appeal of a low mileage almost-new 200 series as a car for the next 20 years is too high. Also, I’m surprised to hear you say 24K for a 96K mile 2007. More like 35-40K in the US.

Oh man. I’m ashamed to say I’ve never been - it’s just never been brought up when talking places to go. I think the outside looks rad and I hear the jazz is good. But I couldn’t tell ya about the vibe or the food. Some recs (there is so much good stuff here - this list is missing a ton): - Oddly Correct for coffee - Happy Gillis or Room 39 for brunch - Nelson Atkins, our free art museum, is so good - The Campground is my usual haunt, then Lucky Boys down the street when I want to hop into a dive bar - Green Lady Lounge for jazz (love this place) - Some favorite restaurants for dinner: Grunauer, Antler Room, Campground, or Tiki Taco for something fun and easy.

I work in oil & gas, travel a lot and guess what is the ultimate luxury car in 75% of the world. 3/4 of the world is full of potholes and the roads are not as good as we think. Having one of these either in EU or the US is definetely having the most overengineered car in the market.

I went from an e46 M3 -> G500 -> 2013 LC. Man, I’m over the moon with the LC. I love M3s, and BMW is so considerate with their design choices, but the 200 series Land Cruiser is capable, comfortable, and reliable. The fact that they hold their value so well means you can’t lose.

The Lexus LX is definitely one of those “ if you know you know “ type vehicles.
