It comes down to writing. When it's in the hands of incompetents, the villains come off as one dimensional and pathetic and it's the villains that reflect the greatness of the hero. Without good antagonists, there is no real story. As for most of the writers in Hollywood these days, I wouldn't give you fifty bucks for the lot of them; they're too wound up in their idiotic agendas. Thing is, is that these assholes actually went to college to learn their craft. A first grader with a crayon could do better; it's just so bad. I just hope that these cretins don't try their hand at Doctor Doom anytime soon.

All right I get it the mcu is a huuuuge disappointment to you. Wha wha. Instead of focusing on failures that big companies like marvel and by extension disney will never fix (because they NEVER LISTEN TO THE FANS), instead focus on what is good about them. Think positively about what the mcu did right. No one can be perfect, and unfortunately a lot of animated and comic book characters will be nerfed in live films to save on budget or because of lazy writing or because the producer didn't do enough research on the villain. I choose to focus on what the mcu did right, not wrong, because I promise you that once you start looking for what is wrong, you'll never stop. Think positively. Be happy.

i was so happy with what they made with Green Goblin in Spider-Man NWH, he doesnt have any deep motives or a back story that justify his actilns, he's just wants to drive Peter into the deepest bottom possible to the point of breaking his own rules and killing him, he does what he always did: he fucks up Peter's life, and it only gets better (or worse for norman) when you remember that Raimi's goblin is a fully different personality from Norman and their beliefs are extremely opposite to each other

It definitely seems like the MCU doesn’t know what to do with the characters if the Hulkbuster was going to beat the Hulk the fight should have been more of a fight for survival the fight should have nearly killed Iron Man Black Widow is not a monster like Tony she has done some bad or terrible things her story likes is more of a act of redemption also I don’t understand why I can’t have kids things is important regarding her being a monster it should be something like I am a monster I did terrible things if my life as a Black Widow that I need to to make up for or something like that the not being able to have children is a bit irrelevant to the situation.

After Ragnarok most movies start turning into total jokes. The problem with Thor and Thor: The Dark World wasn't that they were too serious, but rather their shit writing. You can make an enjoyable serious movie, but it takes too much effort to write good characters with enough nuance to care about them

Brandon, just shut up. These shows like The Boys are meant to be a satire of what modern superhero movies and shows have become. Invincible is a grittier take on the superhero genre showing us a brutal look at how superhero life can be. The reason behind these shows popping up is because of the MCU becoming stale and boring and has nothing to do with the marvel comics.

I always thought the film was going to end when Dr Strange says "they're starting to come through and I can't stop them". And then Dr Strange and the multiverse of madness would pick up right from that moment on the Statue of Liberty with the 3 spidermen, Dr strange and some villains from other undisclosed universes. I further believed this because it's called 'No way home' but since everyone goes home at the end the title is misleading.

Personally I hate modern interpretations of Peter but I do not see a problem with Miles existing what I don't like is the spider verse that is stupid I think the only Spider-Men that should exist are Peter, Miguel, miles, and Ben Reilly. I also got to say ghost spider, but I don't think she should ever be main timeline. I don't think you should discredit miles just because he shares some of the same story Beats as Peter because oftentimes sidekicks have nearly the exact same origin story as the heroes they serve. Miles and Miguel are both amazing contributions to the Spider-Man Mythos, and as long as they keep being interesting, I welcome them. Ultimate Spider-Man might have had a stupid ass Peter but I commended for actually finishing the story of the character that's something that's rarely done in comic books nowadays. Miles carrying on the mantle felt a little random but it ended up working. I think Spider-Man 2 handled Peter horribly he was weak and incompetent despite having the anti-venom suit in the ending where he went off on a break was so stupid to me especially since miles was struggling to to achieve a good work-life balance just for him to have a 180 at the last minute just to kick Peter out of the story with stupid they could have handled that so much better off the top of my head I could think of them taking scheduled turns and team up if necessary for large threats like Green Goblin or Mr negative.

I will love to 100% agree on this.....if not was for you pick and talk down of some actual GOOD modern Spiderman things......the 2 Spiderverse movies yes took liberties, but ain't bad liberties, pay homage of what comes before, and look I get it, I also not a huge fan of predetermine FATE when comes to simple stories like Peter, but at least GIVE IT A CHANCE the third movie could ended putting all back together in a nice way, but I get it, still not agree AT ALL on at least those 2, I'm not a huge fan of Miles from comics and even the games came preachy to me, but those 2 films deserve the love and respect have gotten make by people actually capable of telling good stories and NO NOT AGREE on you compared the humor of this film to DEADPOOL (or that god awful Disney Spiderman show you show, low blow indeed).....also you barely show anything about SPECTACULAR SPIDERMAN who still can be consider a modern adaptation who stay very close to classic Spiderman stories if you want at least get some points.....again I get where you coming with, in most other Miles related media (games, comics and cartoons) 100% agree.......but those 2 animated films are works of ART, never put them in the same category as the modern crap we get that dismiss good STORY AND CHARACTERS for...the MESSAGE,....Into the Spiderverse and Across the Spiderverse didn't do that, so not agree on you putting there when you just put a great review of X-MEN 97 is contradictory as F.

The show is bad. Characters have heavy plot armor. Gambit has been ruined. They do cheap emotional tricks to get people riled up. The animation is rough. Rogue has been turned into an awful character. It's just bad all around. Morph is gay and non-binary. There's no defending it.

For my own opinion, it has to be the mess they made of one of my favourites, Taskmaster. You already had a well established and interesting character in Tony Masters but completely scraped his whole backstorv and character and made him a female for what reason? Because you couldn't think of another villain for Black Widow to fight? Hell just have her fight Damon Dran for God's sake.

I appreciate your emphasis on citing the comics when the story or theme clashes with the film, being a lifelong comic fan but not particularly invested in the cinematic universes-I always appreciate falling back on the comics. When I see a film and don't care for the particular interpretations, I treat it like a dull issue and carry on. The MCU certainly struggles with their villains, all the interesting ones get sidelined and everyone with potential hardly sees a sequel. Sidenote: I also agree with the puzzling depiction of power scaling in Infinity War, where Cap, Black Widow and Hawkeye are the ones swooping in and saving Scarlett Witch and Vision of all characters.

As much as I love the character of Loki. I have to say I hate that they took some of mephistos ARC from Jim Starlins Infinity Gauntlet and divided between him and ebony maw. I kinda think Marvel did this to appeal to the oversea market. I also think that Loki series had hinted at the possibility that loki is masquerading as mephisto to recreate the sacred timeline.

I love Spider-Man nwh it's in my top 5 of mcu movies but I really wish they let Tom holland have his own rouges rather than giving green goblin who is Spider-Man's most important villain and one of the most important marvel comic characters 20 minutes of screen time in nwh and than just getting rid of him by the end of the movie just does not sit right with me.

IT looks shit. 30 years have passed but the animation has only gotten worse and more choppy. It looks like a PowerPoint slideshow. Astonishing how the biggest media company cant afford good animation. The original animators need their praise. They had older technology, smaller budget but made more fluid and detailed work.

10:40 X-Men 97 like it's original counterpart is animated in South Korea, Studio MIR who worked on 'Legend of Korra' worked on 'X-Men 97' while the original X-Men Animated series was animated mostly by AKOM also a South Korean studio (apart from the final season that switched to low budget studios in China and the Philippines due to budget and scheduling issues)
