Charge Your Heart - this describes it perfectly! That feeling of genuine joy whilst listening to the birds in the morning, sitting on the shore of a beach, walking in a forest of green, sunrays hitting your skin on a cool morning.... has always made my heart feel so alive and happy and full! And I always wondered why it didn't affect other people the same way.

Doing nothing productive is what I need to practice. Scheduled time when there are no demands. Otherwise, I'll just be forced to stop due to illness. How much better to schedule rest, enjoyable and restorative activities.

I love having a toaster. I used to do everything by oven, including toasting bread. But getting a toaster recently has changed my life. I make toast in 30 seconds, which helps this busy lady.

I do relate with this. These days each second is about achieving something. So I recently realized by my own that we have forgotten what ' just being ' meant. This is nice to hear that something like this actually exists cutirally.

The algorithm brought me here. I am Dutch! I love that I didn't know there is a verb for what I do during the weekend. I call it "opladen" or (recharge) "bijkomen" (recover) or "pyjama-day". 😅 But I didn't resonate with what you told about "stinken in huis". I think that saying is really regional. 😊

I was born in Hilversum in 1950. I live in Australia since 1951. I admire the Dutch because they are mult cultural. I love how they can ride their bikes in safety and freedom. Sadly my dutch language in no longer perfect when my parents passed away I no longer had any one to speak dutch with. I still consider myself as a dutchie

I am gonna work on carving out time to not do anything. I haven’t been doing that lately, but always did so good when I was. This is good friendly reminder. Thanks

I hung a peg board in my hall way. I pin up pictures of my kids and grandchildren's school pictures. Their art work also goes there. It keeps it in one spot, it's easy to update and always a pleasure to look at.

Your 20-minute-long video - while enlightening - is not very efficient. (With this comment, I am practicing the Dutch traits of directness in communication and valuing efficiency.)
