    Hey mate how are you……hit me up on Instagram @Lurechucker. They are a great boat, depends on what size you build and where you are, I no longer own the boat. We had it in the Pilbara, we have short sharp chop….it handles it well, but the same with any plate boat you’ll always get some slap

    Hi Nelson…..it’s 7.5m and just big, with the hardtop it creates a lot of wind collection due to the hardtop. The 87” is plenty on my boat and works perfectly, we have 7m plus tides in the Pilbara. I’ll let you on in some new detail…..I’ve just sold my boat and will be building a 5.5m. With the new Garmin and Minn Kota Electrics there are a shit load of options that will suit your boat……to be honest the Garmin Kraken looks absolutely amazing and is substantially cheaper. Good luck and hope you enjoy the process

    @@lurechucker8186 sorry mate I must have a newer version. The GPS is in the head of motor and the puck is a heading sensor. Same as autopilot and radar positioning. It basically tells the minn Kota which way the boat is facing. My Simrad one is deep in the cabin on the water line as close to centre line of the boat as I can. On mine it gives the ability to have autopilot and jog function.

  • @lurechucker8186

    Its got plenty of room, we've stayed on the boat for multiple days with 2 in the cab & 2 on deck in the hammock. Yep it can be a challenge with all of our gear & sleeping arrangements but it works. If we are staying for more than a few days we generally try and swag it on the beach or a campsite....i guess the biggest hurdle is trying to not pack way too much gear....get to the end of the trip and not use half the crap you have packed (my wifes biggest vice). Over all we love it as a getaway option and the time on the water with family cant be replaced. Our boat is 7m (7.5LOA) and we have plenty of room so Im sure with a 7.2m boat you'll have ample room, i guess it also depends if you have a cuddy or islander cab type setup also. All i can say is make the memories in the boat.....the longer you think about it or don't make a decision, the further away you will be from ever doing it.

    Hi Mate, I'm on the Sunshine Coast QLD. I've had a 7.2metre glass boat for 2 years now & got pretty comfortable with fishing & boating in it. Time to consider a 112lb 87 inch minn kota to improve my chances (I'm not the best fisho around). Thanks for the video, it's the only reference I have to this size MK. By the way approximately how much is the lithium battery as opposed to 3 x 12 volt batteries ?

  • @lurechucker8186
    @lurechucker81862 жыл бұрын

    Hey Neil how are you mate......trust me the Minn Kota will change the way you fish as you stay on your mark 100% of the time with spotlokc, glad you found some benefit from the video. I went for the Lithium based on weight saving and ability to use nearly 100% of the storage capacity......and it charges super fast too. The major factor was the weight saving, mine is only 37kg as opposed to 75/80kg when using other types (3 x 12V). I've fished solid for 5 hours on the Minn Kota and barely used 25% of the capacity, its a big outlay but if you have the cash and want to enjoy your fishing more and use your anchor less its a must have accessory. There is a company I follow on Instagram called SCBB, they have done some awesome mounts for Minn Kota's on glass boats, check the link below or just give Angus a call. He has also branched out to manufacture some great accessories for fishing too. scbbfabrication.com.au/ #scbb Link for the battery from BLA: RRP: $3639.00 Part Number: 111183 Weight 37kg Dimensions: L 520mm x W 269mm x H 220mm (i actually found it to be aprox7mm higher from memory) bla.com.au/product/bla-marine-performance-lithium-batteries/

    Thanks for the message and feedback. At the end of the day some of the mass produced plate boats are going to do great job, fits people’s budget and has less wait time. My opinions might be biased but there is no comparison in quality and the option to personally design and build a boat that suits your needs….if your spending big dollars you want to ensure you have the after sales service and personal relationship with the builder before, during and post ownership. I could go on for hours with my love of this boat but remember you are not getting what they think you need in a boat……it’s a consultation with an experienced and successful builder who will make your dream come alive. I guess pricing would start around the 120k mark but the more options you add the cost goes up. For me I couldn’t go back to a mass produced boat…..just my opinion though Hope this helps 👍👍👍

    What an amazing boat and such a fantastic and comprehensive review. Been a few years since I've been in Port Hedland..... I think I lived a few hundred meters down the road from your spot :)

    ThAnks so much for the comment, and cheers for the kind words. It’s such a daunting proposition in buying a big boat to make sure it fits all of your requirements. It was actually my wife who pushed me towards the wall around, but you do loose some cockpit size and cabin… it’s all about comprises. Either way I’m sure you’ll make the most out of your Razerline and it will be one hell of a rig for many years to come. I look forward to hearing more from you and your adventures

    Hey Kenny….thanks for the message, ha ha ha that’s funny driving past. I know how you feel I used to say exactly the same to my wife as we worked our way from smaller boats to this beast. If you ever see me out the front don’t be shy and stop in and say hello and you’re more than welcome to have a look!

    Nice boat mate and great video. You'd need over size signs to tow it yeah?

  • @lurechucker8186
    @lurechucker81863 жыл бұрын

    Hey Mike….:certainly does. It’s a vinyl sign on the windscreen, I have an aluminium sign that goes into the bait board and 2 flags that go on port and starboard side. No trace at night unless with a beacon. So worth having the extra beam for very little extra work

    I didn’t see a live well for live bait I’m sure it’s there musta missed it. When you get that kicker which Is what I always trolled from once I used my big engine out the inlet to the seas it worked great all day long on a little gas and separate removable gas tank with quick disconnect you can put a steering arm to it from your main engine which you shut down saving tons of extra money on fuel and steer with your main Motor too.

    G'day Paul.....you are correct, we opted for no live bait tank as we barely used it on our last boat and is not something we could see the need for. We decided to go with a sink that you should be able to see and a bin type extension box at the rear as I hate rubbish all over the place. Thanks for watching and hope you've enjoyed a few of the other videos

    G'day Leroy....sorry mate I missed that you had commented, its a really basic setup but does the job and keeps it simple. The solar setup and controller module keep it visible at all times, which I think is a must if you're running a reasonably heavy electrical load over long trips
