  How is Lucy's version of Arabesque so mesmerizing? It's almost as if because she can't communicate verbally very well, she tries to communicate through music. And you can hear her speaking to everyone through this music. So gifted!

  Ummm, whilst I’m not a piano player, I’m a drummer of at least 55 years but, I am finding it real hard to get past the fact of Lucy’s hands are not doing what my ears are hearing. Right from the start and numerous times throughout her performance there are a lot, and I do mean A LOT, of notes coming out of that piano that clearly her hands and fingers do not match. I’ve watched a few of her performances and something doesn’t look, or feel right. Am I missing something? I’m never the kind of person to rain on someone’s parade, but I’m not convinced this lovely girl is playing to the level portrayed in numerous videos. I feel bad saying that but, I can see what I see, and hear what I hear. Sadly something feels off to me.

  @@kurokjo9107 Hi there. The very start at 40 seconds it looks to me her fingers are not doing the runs that can be heard. Similar irregularities are dotted throughout the video. But as I have mentioned, I'm not a piano player so who knows. I should also mention, I'm a television cameraman of 35+ years and I initially thought maybe it was a "continuity error" due to multiple single camera's edited together (badly) after the fact. But it looks to be a live switched Multicam scenario. If you and other piano players say it's legit then I'm absolutely ok with that and I hope this young girl continues to do amazing things.

  probably just the camera editing. There's video of her playing in a train station and it is definitely not fake. She draws a crowd.

  @@2009captainpaul to be honest the little portion at 40 seconds is just really hard to judge because of the angle of the camera and the fact that she's playing the notes so 'high' and with pretty flat fingers, so u dont rly see anything as it is hidden by the dark keys. But as soon as we get a better angle the timings of the notes and the placement of her hands seem just fine to me.

  Right now in my life I am a cancer patient. When I get down or anxious I come to this video and watch and listen to Lucy and she immediately turns me around, quiets my anxiety and makes me thankful for what I have. For me it is a miracle! Thank you Lucy.
