Hello! My name is Matthew Zisi, and I am fascinated by all things trains. Hopefully from time to time, I'll be uploading videos of some of the ones I've seen, so you can see them as well! If you like the ones you've seen here, be sure to check out my train photos at railfan3145.rrpicturearchives.net/ as well. Thanks for dropping by!

My hometown of Winnetka. I love that you film right off Oak Street.
Awesome, I love the railroad crossing videos.
I was with you until you said the Empire Builder was on schedule.
Keep in mind, this one was heading west (so less than 100 miles into the trip). Eastbound - yeah, that would've been a miracle!
I take the Empire Builder from Spokane to Portland semi-regularly, seeing how far it goes is such a trip
I've taken it from Chicago to Portland - a fascinating ride! So much different scenery! Unfortunately, I was asleep when we went through Spokane, but that Columbia River Valley before you get into Portland is gorgeous!
You can hear that person getting pulled over for cutting through the barricade LoL
I checked the spot on the Google maps and as I understand it, the first car wanted to go straight ahead, i.e. across the crossing and thus had to stop and wait for the train to pass, but the pulled-over car wanted to turn right onto the road that is parallel with the railway track and thus didn't want to wait for the first car to move and passed it on the left. Now, I don't know anything about American traffic rules, so could please someone tell me what rules did he break with that maneuver?
Are your vids always in Wisconsin?
Not always! I live up here, but if I'm travelling, I'll take some as well! There's some older ones on the channel from Kansas, back when I used to live there.
Awesome! A metro train with a level crossing. Too cool.
How often do these gates go down? I’m not from Chicago and here in Toronto the trains come every 3-5 minutes so I can’t imagine how it must feel hearing the ringing all the time
Yeah, not quite 3-5 minutes here, but probably about 15 at most! Shorter if the train's just come in and is going out again!
All aside, I find steam trains really cool.
CTA TRAIN TO ADDISON STATION BY WRIGLEY FIELD👍👍👍👍✌✌✌
Can pedestrians be electrocuted if they accidentally step on the electric rail at the crossing?
No. There's no third rail in the crossing.
@@RayChiTown Exactly right. I've walked over that crossing, and I'm still alive to comment about it!
В России в метро контрактный рельс идёт сбоку. Напряжение 825 Вольт.
Вагоны кажутся маленькими.
The third rail actually stops, and the train's long enough to reach the other end of the third rail.
Awesome
Awesome Railfan video and steam train 👍👍👍👍👍🚂
A. A k
Mm.... mini-Forney!
It looks like the Kahului railroad no. 1
Which line is this?
Purple Line. This is just south of Linden Station, in Wilmette.
@@Railfan-zf1du ah, thanks.
@Railfan-zf1du @ByzantineCalvinist a easy way to know is pink line mostly have 4 cars. Yellow mostly 2. Green mostly 6. Purple mostly 6. Orange, brown, red, and blue have mostly 8 cars. But sometimes it can have different number of cars

Excellent catch. Greetings from Canada
Nice catch! This is the Wisconsin avenue crossing in Pewaukee wi. These signals are newer CPKC installs replacing signals from the late 90s. The GS type 2 on your side was reused from the older signals. I know all of the crossings in Brookfield/Elm Grove/most of Wauwatosa which is about a few miles east of this crossing. The directions of where this train was heading.
Thanks for the info! I'm very familiar with a lot of the Elm Grove/Wauwatosa crossings too :) Great places to watch!
@@Railfan-zf1duIkr! I've been familiar with all of those crossings since I was a kid. A few of them never have been recorded before!
Nice catch
Thank you!
Nice

Great video. I subscribed to your channel as well!
Wow haven't watched a train go under there since I was a teenager I think the last one I saw from the Bridge I was 19.. I use to sit at the Main Street Crossing by the old Train Depot and watch the Wisconsin Centrals
Awesome catch!
Amazing! Absolutely legendary!
Pretty much a perfect meet. Even the tail almost cleared at the same time
For only having 1 engine that was a long train.
There's a second one in the middle, at 1:58 - but still, pretty long for just 2 engines!
Excellent video I subscribe to your channel
Great video
Nice catch!
Cool! I Railfan at this crossing all the time.
