Those are so fun made in Girl Scouts loved them
Do we wick this wax the same as soy 464? Or does it like smaller wicks
It's about the same as 464. You may need to use a larger wick as it burns slower.
Hi
LOVE THIS ! DO YOU KNOW CAN I USE THE ORGANIC VIRGIN COCONUT OIL FROM COSTCO ?
Yes you should be able to use that however the coconut aroma might transfer into the lotion candle.
Can lotion candle mixture be used to make wax melts?
I have issue with using CD on coconut apricot wax. The smoke is building up black soot around the internal jar. Should I use a different wick size? Right now I’m using CD10 on 3.25” diameter.
That should be a good jar and wick size combination. Many times the black soot is actually the fragrance oil. How much fragrance are you using? Did you notice in different fragrance or all of them?
Saludos soy de Puerto Rico, te pregunto dan las clases en español?
I like to try to watch you guys, but the videos are blurry and it's really hard to hear you
This is the best video on candle carving I've seen yet. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thank you!!
Thank you so much for the video. The measurement details are really very useful. I made the candle. But when i blow of the flame and pour into my palm the liquid became wax immediately. I wonder where i have gone wrong. Kindly help me
You're welcome! How long are you letting it burn before blowing out and using? Did you use the exact oils and wax in the recipe? Some oils and waxes are harder so they will solidify quicker.
I really wanted to thank you for spending your valuable time in replying to my doubts and questions. I am sorry if i am annoying you. I really wanted to make a massage candle after watching your video. I used shea butter, pure coconut oil and pure soy wax. I only had these materials with me. I let the candle to burn for 10 mins.
Do you sell warning labels for this? For the water absorbing crystals?
We do not sell warning label for the water absorbing crystals
The glue on the sticker pads is not skin safe
The glue from the wick tape is only meant to keep the wick in place. Candles should never be burned completely to the bottom so the tape would never be exposed to the skin if that is the concern.
but how do you get the soap OUT..? I can never get plastic molds to release... 🤦♂️
Melt & Pour soaps work best in plastic molds and should release easily once cooled. www.candlesandsupplies.com/soap-skincare/melt-pour-bases
Did you post the St. Patrick's day quotes? Well wishes.. ?? TY 😊
Thanks for sharing I loved the video. Putting flowers in candles are so elegant I love it. Question what’s the spray that you used on mold. Ty
Thank you! We love the look too! That is our Mold Release Spray, linked here... www.candlesandsupplies.com/Universal-Mold-Release-Spray-NO-AIR-SHIPMENTS
What's your favorite flower? 🌺🌻💐
How did you get the jar green for the one with a gold lid?
We poured kelly green wax into this jar - www.candlesandsupplies.com/10-oz.-Laconic-Jar-per-dozen
Hi, I think this looks very interesting and am looking into classes to take near me. I keep wondering, why is paraffin wax used for this style of candle/carving? Is it possible to do it with other types of wax? I'm simply extremely curious, and can't find the answer on Google 😅
Paraffin is flexible so it carves easily. Beeswax can also be used for carving but it is much more expensive. Soy and Palm waxes are very brittle and just break apart when carved so they do not work well.
@@CandlesandSuppliesthank you so much for the clarification!
What courses candlewax to smoke, and it seems to make all my white furniture black
Black smoke is usually caused by either the candle wick being too big or the fragrance oil in the wax. Wax itself burns cleanly, its the wicks and scents that cause the smoke.
Thanks for sharing.
I made a lotion candle, but when I pour the melted wax on my hand after burning it, it smells like burning, even though I put essential oil in it? How can I fix this?
It sounds like it's probably the essential oil - a lot of them have very low flashpoints and do not do well in a burning candle. Fragrance oils produce better results in candles while essential oils require a lot of testing for problems like this.
I can't wait to try this out. Thanks!
Such a great recipe! You can feel the difference!
Where are you located?
2580 Milford Square Pike, Quakertown, PA
Have you tried any of these? What's your favorite or one you'd want to try?!
As the owner of a metaphysical shop please research your crystals! Some become toxic when exposed to heat or liquid
The rack you are using for marking and carving, where do you get them? Also how does the piece insert into the candle?
We sell the rack and equipment on our website which I will list below. There is a candle handle and insert used to hold the candle in place, both can also be purchased on our website below. www.candlesandsupplies.com/candle-making/candle-carving/candle-carving-equipment
Hola espero me responda eh visitado muchos canales y nadie me a contestado, seria tan amable de decirme que tipo de cera utiliza y si tiene algun taller en Online para prender esta tecnica gracias

Soy wax
Hi - what temperature does the wax in the separate containers for dipping need to be maintained at? Thanks
Dipping vat temperatures should range from 160-170 degrees for best results.
Which Preservative on your website do you use for Water Crystals?
Germall Plus would be an excellent choice for the preservative. Linked before for you! www.candlesandsupplies.com/2-oz.-Germall-Plus-Preservative_2

Hello, I am in Iran and I need their brand or chemical name to prepare unscented aroma beads, please guide me.
Hello! Unfortunately that is proprietary information. We only sell the beads, we do not make them.
Can 2 tablespoons of isopropyl alcohol be used to preserve this mixture?
We have not tried isopropyl alcohol in this product. Generally speaking alcohol could help with preservation but I would worry about it competing with the fragrance oil and not sure how it would react with the crystals.
"Promo SM"
I tried to put them in the refrigerator but this did not remove the wet spots ugh
I really want to order but you don't ship to Canada:(
Very informative
Where can you order the wax you have in the video?

Thank you just made my purchase! I have one more question. I recently had apricot coconut cream wax & had the same problem that you was mentioning that the cold & hot throw wasn’t strong. With me having a cream wax will this be different then what I already have?
@@digitalboy2245 the cream wax is much different and definitely does not have as good of a scent throw. That's one of the reasons we love the Coconut Apricot wax so much!
@@CandlesandSuppliesthank you & appreciate the feed back. can’t wait to receive mines & will leave a review once I try it out!!
Great video. Would you mind talking me what the candle carving frame is officially called? I can’t find them anywhere. Many thanks

How long do you "cure" a candle before burning?
This wax blend takes about 24 hours to cure and will get stronger within a week.
Can you share where you get your pigments ?

Glad I found this I wanted to get into another form of art.💜
Don't different types of wax have different melting points and therefore better to mix them when they're both liquid?
Absolutely! Waxes won't mix together unless they are both melted.
This is a fun and easy project
Hello, I have questions I've been trying for days to carve candles just as a hobby but... My mold is made out of soy wax My dipping wax is Paraffine wax and I added the microcrystalline The colors add great to the candle but... when I try to carve the layers crumble please help
We have not been successful using soy wax for carved candles because it is so brittle and crumbles when carved. It's best to make your core candles from paraffin with microcrystalline.
@@CandlesandSuppliesthank you I will try that If that doesn’t work do you think I’m not putting enough layers or the temperature is too high ? the temp was 180 degrees Thanks again
From where do I buy the electric box to put the parafin coloured wax in to keep it warm.?
www.candlesandsupplies.com/candle-making/candle-carving
What shoul be the proportion for micro crystalline wax for 1kg if paraffin wax
We use 3 micro cubes www.candlesandsupplies.com/Microcrystalline-Wax-Cubes-per-lb-_2 per 10 lbs. of wax.
Can you use the double boiler method to melt the shampoo bar base?
Absolutely!
Hello Michelle
It seems like the table does not include product packaging.
Hi Jabones! The "Component" area would be where you would include packaging under one of the "product" headlines. The candle example has a ribbon and cello bag in there for that packaging example.
@@CandlesandSupplies thanks!! 😁
