@Campingdownunder3 сағат бұрын
Yeah you'd have to order the winch conversion kit like I did. Then you can mount a winch to your existing Toyota bullbar 👍

Hey mate, I sold my 1993 RV6 after owning it for 17 years and sold it for the same price last January. I am lucky enough to have been able to purchase the new 2023 76 with all of the upgrades. I ordered it in Aug 21 and only received it Nov 23. Had to pay extra because of the new model but it is worth it. BTW it is the V8! Listen, I am in my 50's it does take time to get where we want to get. Just sucks that we cannot do it in our prime. Such is life mate.

Congrats, things are looking up mate and well done to Busselton Toyota. And this isn't just Toyota but all 4wd makers, they know we add lightbars and 12v accessories. Why the heck don't they make a standard plug and play pickup point for high beams somewhere sensible instead of having to gut the whole car? And why can't they have a simple 12v bussbar behind an easy to access panel somewhere down under the infotainment to power accessories like CB, dashcam, navigation, phone chargers etc.
@Campingdownunder3 сағат бұрын
Australia is a very small market and most other countries don't fit the accessories we fit here in Australia. So they can't design their cars just to please a tiny fraction of the market. Australia is a very unique market and we absolutely love our accessories here. But until we are a bigger market they won't design cars purely for our needs

Congratulations Paul! Wow look at you, you have a smile like The Cheshire Cat! I'm so relieved to see that your world is falling into place! I enjoyed my 2002 Hilux but like you, I couldn't trust it to go remote traveling. My 2012 Colorado is by far a better vehicle than the old Lux and I've put a lot of work and money into it over the last 4 or 5 months. After watching your new build, I wish I had the money to build something similar from scratch. I'm looking forward to seeing stage 2 and ultimately the 1st of many adventures! I must also say a big thank you to your boss! Bosses like him don't come around too often these days! Once again, congratulations!

Wonderful Video. I remember years ago, Seek Adventure did a similar one, and even Ronny Dahl has done one. They are a great idea for anyone starting off. Haven't seen the plastic drink mixer before. I have used frozen water bottles in the esky. Remember to leave room for the ice to expand in the bottle. Yes, I saw the drone crash.

I'm not planning on doing a lot of water crossings. I've fitted plenty of brands over the years and the genuine Toyota snorkel is my favourite as it has a very slimline profile compared to the competition. Even Ronny Dahl only used genuine Toyota snorkels for hilux's. You can make them waterproof but it's at your own risk. I doubt any brand would cover a new motor if something went wrong. This is why I didn't want to lead people on but instead be honest and let them modify it at their own risk 👍
