Such a great guitarist, playing in drop D is easier in the bass notes but once you can master the tinier digits he can make any song out of it. 👍 🎸

Best rhythm guitarist to me. He just lays down the nastiest and tastieet tunes while also being so much fun to play. Solid dynamics too

Ian D'sa is such a unique guitar player - ive never seen anyone play quite like him. The catchy melodies he plays simultaneously with the chords are amazing. How he interweaves these spirited melodies with the rhythmic chords - often these very colourful jazz chords - is sometimes hard to believe. Ian's guitar playing is unique in any genre but in punk-type music, its basically unheard of. He's also tuned permanently to drop-D which also contributes to the sound he achieves. ive seen them live on 3 different occasions and watched countless live videos, and Ian plays FLAWLESSLY. He is truly a master of his craft. One of a kind... He is also, by all appearances, a super nice fellow. Like a genuinely good dude, who seems good spirited - the kinda guy who just loves to create, and feels grateful to be able to play music for a living

This song is just so fun to play on guitar! Ian is such a great guitarist with such a unique style. Although Billy Talent is hugely popular, he seems to be flying under the radar for many guitar people, though...

    What's that 2nd chord shape? Most places say it's as below, but he's not fretty the 6th fret. - 8 6 x 7 -

    - 8 7 8 7 - But you might choose to mute the G, I've seen that on some tabs. Either way sounds good.

I stopped listening to Billy Talent after the 2nd album. But the imprint Ian D'sa left on me persists to this day. I realized about 7-8 years after learning to play guitar that I borrow so much from his style of playing rhythms and leads together. One of the most horribly underrated guitar players out there.

He is so him... A stratocaster blending classical and heavy sound and Hardcore. Haven't seen nobody squeezing a strat's sound in this style. I mean Gojira use a tele and John 5, but this guy he is unique. I bet he plays classical guitar too because of his riffs having. That bass notes rooted as if it's a thumb.
