Yes Road from Plan area to Chakrata is Good. However this location is it’s around 45-60 mins from Chakrata (Near Tiger fall) and that road is bit narrow but nothing to worry about. As this is monsoon time so I would say please check with Resort owner for the latest update on Road.

Always go with Delhi Mumbai express way. Toll I don’t remember now but it was around 550/- aprox.But don’t worry about toll cost as you will get better mileage. Also you will not get food options as good as Old Jaipur highway. Food options are there but I would prefer carry your own food . It is fun to have food in your car.

Sir, Abbott Mount cottage price is 5000 for one day . This is only for room and you need to pay extra for breakfast , Lunch and dinner. However price is very nominal as this Uttarakhand government guest house.

I didn’t get your ask. If you are asking for stay recommendations as per both options then I will always suggest GMVN Khirsu as they have the best location advantage. However room types are very simple like any guest house. Basa is good in terms of room and cleanness but rest all are best with GMVN. Hope I answered your question.

@AslamKhan-tp1vr not sure about the home stay near Almora. But after kachi dham you will fine multiple locations on road side where you will see Maggi shop. I suggest use that place for cooking if you want .
