In June and July, when summer is at its peak and school holidays have started, we decided to make a 3-night and 4-day trip to Uttarakhand. Here's a detailed itinerary of our journey:
Day 1: We started from Delhi by road and reached Tanakpur, Kathgodam in Uttarakhand. We stayed in a budget hotel and decided to visit the jungle. We booked a jeep safari for ₹4500 and went to Surai Tiger Reserve, an unexplored place in Uttarakhand that very few people know about. We also visited the Forest Guest House, which offers excellent budget-friendly accommodation. Tanakpur shares its border with Uttar Pradesh and Nepal. Additionally, the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve is nearby.
Day 2: We travelled to Lohaghat, Uttarakhand, and stayed at KMVN Abbott Mount. We also visited the famous Haunted House. We spent the day enjoying local sightseeing in Lohaghat, exploring its serene beauty and historical significance.
Day 3: We visited Pithoragarh and Patal Bhuvaneshwar, staying in a budget hotel. Patal Bhuvaneshwar is known for its ancient cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which offers a mystical experience.

उत्तराखंड के गंगोलीहाट में है दुनिया की सबसे अद्धुत, अकल्पनीय, अविश्वसनीय गुफाएं। स्कंदपुराण के मानसखंड में इस जगह को शिव का सबसे दिव्य धाम बताया है। विश्वास है कि यहां 33 कोटि देवी-देवताओं का वास है। यहां शेषनाग हैं, चारों धाम हैं, स्वर्ग का रास्ता भी यहां से है। यहां जो जाता है उसे ऐसा लगता है कि वो किसी दूसरी दुनिया में पहुंच गया है। Being Ghumakkad की टीम ने पाताल लोक में मौज़ूद इस धाम की यात्रा की है और ये स्पेशल शो तैयार किया है।
