I'm from America. I have known about this disease for about the last 12 years because of my friend. People really do need to be educated on this disease instead of assuming people are crazy! And which we know that they are not crazy! Please let me know if and when I can get in contact? Hi. I'm not sure if I'm on the correct video. But,I have been searching for help for years now but, really haven't gotten any where. I need help. I don't know where else to turn for help. I have been diagnosed with a rare eye condition called choroideremia. Because of this life changing disease,I am completely blind in my right eye and what sight I have remaining in my left eye is like looking through a straw. Because of the degree of my eye, I've been told that the only hope for me is stem cell therapy and that trials for that would not take place for at least 5 to 10 years from now. I know by then, it'll be too late for me. I'm told gene therapy wouldn't work for me due to the severity of my eyes. I don't believe this because gene therapy is helping others. But, I'm told no. Can someone please help me with this. I'm not sure which way to turn for help because I don't have anyone to help me.i have to do the research myself and, it's so very hard for me. I've had testing done and I do have choroideremia. Can someone please help me... please.
