This concert was as many rock in rio gigs are filmed with the sound awful. They don't even put the bass levels up until halfway through afraid to shoot strangers. This was aired live around the world and was awful to listen to so he done well remastering the sound on this for our viewing. Great video thank you.

For me this is a time machine, it makes me go back to my 13 years old listening to Maiden on my bedroom full volume. Now with my almost 49 years old, I have no doubt that my youth was the best of times listen to this bands, and still are. Long live metal 🤘🤘

I miss the clear voice Bruce still had hear. Where he didn't have to use that forced falsetto to reach the high notes like he does today

@@wagner_buettner the work done was basically an "enhancement" from the original mix that Multichannel TV station broadcasted that day. Unfortunately the original mix was bad, but the enhanced version turned out pretty decent. Glad you liked it! Cheers

I am quite sure that Maiden has the multitrack recording from this show, so I guess at some point they will mix it, master it and release. I am dreaming and thinking out loud here!

Remastered shouldn't mean 'dynamically crushed'. Fine for mobile phone speakers, I guess. Other than that it's an unbearable assault on sensitive ears.

OK BUDDY, you are failing to consider a basic fact: this show was HDTV broadcasted by "Multichannel" in Brasil and for that they used a fix "live mix" which can't be modified by the audience at home. Therefore, the "remastered" audio you are listening it's actually an enhancement from that former mix that the TV channel broadcasted (meaning, an enhancement over the final product, which sadly was initially and already poorly mixed). Unfortunately the show was not FM broadcasted to use that mix as a replacement, and/or there's no way to access to the several tracks from instruments and voice line, to process a proper mix. That being said, this is not a multitrack mastering process you can find in studio albums which would certainly please your "sensitive ears" So maybe you could start by listening the original "Multichannel" TV broadcast sound, and then compare it to this one. You should notice a big improvement. Or maybe you could also appreciate the effort and say THANKS.

This show took place not long after Maiden let go of a longtime live sound engineer named Doug Hall. They were worried enough about this show not sounding good that Kevin Shirley himself was manning the mixing desk. However, Kevin Shirley is not very good at what he does. 🤣 Or at least, not when he's working with Maiden. It is what it is.
