    What if i don't have any motivation or confidence? Too insecure or depressed where it seeps in the dream and i feel powerless? Or just hating yourself so much, for whatever reasons, weakness, regret, insecurities, etc., that nothing you seem to do helps ..I need help.

    I just had this happen the other night.. I woke up shaking, in shock, I almost couldn't breathe, I felt physical pain in my body and couldn't stop crying.. It's horrible that the one thing, sleep, should bring comfort from real life but instead reliving past events over and over, even in new ways. I wish it would just stop. :'(

    Dreams offering help, instead waking up in sweats and heavy breathing. Though these things never last, thankfully, just random occurrences, but not enough to make me lose it. Anyone with trauma or PTSD/CPTSD understands.

    The thing is I don’t have nightmares like actions with something scary(images) like a volcano erupting. I have hallucinations so when I wake up everything look so far away and it scared me and everything’s so large and I’m small. I find it REALLY HARD to get back to sleep or calm down.I usually don’t go to sleep when this happens because the feeling carries on even when I try to call myself down or close my eyes.I struggle with this and nothing I try works. The doctor just laughs when I tell them. What do I do?

    These hallucinations are possibly happening in what is called hypnogogic sleep - half awake and asleep. Treat them the nightmares - what do you want to wake up to instead, create something magical and beautiful when awake, and go to sleep thinking 'this is what i want to happen in my dream'. good luck

    I have CPTSD, I've been waking up throughout the night for decades. I would guess that I'm reliving the traumas every night from childhood and adulthood . It has gotten much worse and now I'm getting up every hour. I do not see any dreams but they must be occurring and I don't know what they are about. I don't wake up with any particular emotion but I would guess it is some anxiety. I did what you said, I wrote out a new dream scenario of me lying on a beach . I did this for two nights but nothing has changed. I'm still getting up every hour. Please somebody advise me...thank you

    Thank you! I refuse to go to sleep. It feels like l want to protect me from feeling even more exhausted and dysregulated after sleeping. Cognitively I get that the experiences in childhood when I needed orientation and safety and that someone made sense of what happened and my emotions but found myself confronted with frustrated reactions and shaming me for even having needs or problems left me with a huge pile unfinished experiences. That I kept for myself to not poke in the beehive. Those experiences are still lingering around highly reactive. Constantly reminding myself that they want to be finished. Then, growing up getting alone doable solutions all by myself, my answers for life's questions have been not that balanced out, leading to even more decisions that added hurts. I still don't know what could help? Having a safe wise guide in my dream chaos? That helps me figuring out long term good solutions? That's the thing. I still lack experience. I fear even imagined connections. It's complex and I can imagine there could be layers I have to address. I will try and figure out what's helping.

  • @a.k.3110
    @a.k.31106 ай бұрын

    I don't know how to apply these ideas. Maybe someone can help? I don't wake up when my dreams scare me. I react more with a shutdown like response. When waking up, I already am highly stressed and when getting out of bed I experience physical pain from a not healing inflammation of the big tendon plate in my right foot. I fear getting to sleep, it's just stressful not restful, and then I am tired and feeling defeated by the pain I experience for already five month. I tried to get some help, went to the doctors but nothing I did worked and now I feel defeated and am losing the sense of joy in my life. I don't have a reoccurring dream to change. It's more like pure chaos leaving me feeling a mix of overwhelm, shock and confusion. The or the brain runs out of answers resonated with me. And some of those questions do have it's offspring in traumatic events. It's a huge pile of those unfinished experiences.

    I don't remember the dreams that make me yell and curse in my sleep at all. The yelling wakes my daughters and they wake me up. When it first started happening in 2006 I sounded terrified and helpless and I could remember, but it has recently evolved into anger and I don't remember them at all. The episodes have increased a lot in frequency in the past 3 months. It's really worrying me and I don't want to disturb my family's sleep either.

    Thank you for this video! I have complex ptsd and ocd. I keep getting recurring nightmares about catching covid and inadvertently passing it to a relative, the nightmares are very slightly different each time but the fear is the same. I lost my beloved Gran a few years ago, not to covid but I think the fear relates to her passing. How would I go about creating a positive dream relating to a fear of catching covid ? I also have insomnia and it takes me 3 hours to get to sleep, when I do eventually sleep I wake with a nightmare and the process repeats itself. I dont see my sisters anymore because my mothers are withholding them. Last dream: My mother was going around trying to k*ll me and my family. She crashed her car into my aunty, she squeezed me to death and hit my father in the head with an axe. It was the most haunting dream I have had in YEARS.

    Stop nightmares with this, it works. Sleep with a LED flashlight 🔦 in your hand or in your pocket, have it off (not on). I had nightmares every single night, and now after a year of sleeping with a flashlight 🔦, I only have nightmares once a month or so. I found I’m no longer in dark scary places when I dream, it always bright and lots of light. Often the dream characters turn on flashlights so I can see clearly in my dreams. It takes a bit of time, but believe me this works, many people do this.

    3 years after a costly and terrible divorce i did not see coming, i have been dealing with ruminations and nightmares about her still to this day. I refuse to concede to a medical diagnosis to have people tell me its ok to feel this way, because it isnt. I was broken and needed to be fixed. I have worked hard to restore my wealth and stature, but the nightmares still haunt me. I will overcome this last and most terrible of consequences. PTSD is not ok. You are broken, and need fixing. Like any machine or device, if it is broken, it needs removal from operations and complete repair. So understand this, get off your backside like i did and fix it in a sober mind. DO NOT rely on medication. God bless.
