Hmmm. First, great demo of this. But I think they have missed a chance to make it as good as the equivalent setup of the DJI Pocket 3. That camera has four audio tracks and you can use two of those tracks for recording from an external source (including radio mics) and the other two record the internal audio. So you can later balance the sound of the narration on the radio mic(s) and the sound of the ambience around the camera (so if you were talking about a helicopter, you could mix in the sound of the helicopter as desired!). And the whole thing is in glorious stereo if you have the current firmware update. Now in the case of the X4, you might say "well it doesn't have four audio tracks so it can't be done" - but the X3 does have four audio tracks, and although I don't have one to try, I bet the X4 has four tracks too. (In the case of the X3 I did a couple of videos about it). So here's a feature request to Insta360 - implement remote and internal audio recording on the X4, unless DJI have patented that! And here's a suggestion to yourself for a future video - become the first person to even mention the four channel audio of the X4 (if my hunch is correct that it's there) - if it is the same as the X3 then for serious video work it's quite important as it enables you to reframe the stereo audio to match the reframed video. Without doing that the audio image and the video image can be totally reversed. Unless they have quietly implemented that themselves in the Studio software...
Have any of you had any problems with the mount’s attaching clips detaching? Mine only holds the top clips and the ones closer to the “L” mid-part, detach really easy so it goes from a vertical 90 angle to kind of diagonal. Just had my ace pro dropped from my motorcycle because of this
Been quite solid for me - although I do give it a push and make sure it's securely in place before anything else. Don't just rely on the magnets pulling it into place - forcefully push it into place yourself also ;o)
@@iftibashir been trying! Thing is I push it all the way to the max and it looks good until there’s movement and it detaches those bottom clips while only holding onto the top ones, no way to force them staying in place :(

Do you know if there's any sort of adaptor or anything so the transmitter faces the other way, I'd like to see it as I have my GoPro on my chin mount

I'm the same. I hear that the AI tracking features from the Scorp are not as good as the ones from Hohem. No one from these video reviews answers those questions... I'm starting to think these videos are being sponsored by Feiyu.

A good canter through the improved features of the X4, thanks. But you mounted the lens protector the wrong way - I don't know why Insta360 put such emphasis in the packaging on having the little coloured dot at the bottom, but presumably if there wasn't a reason they wouldn't bother - something to do with best overall stitching outcome maybe, or to do with the "Me" mode stitching? Also the audio is worth mentioning - it seems to me to be noticably better than on the X3.
The lens protector is a quarter turn screw on/off - it doesn't matter which way up the blue dot is. It just helps with lining up if you need it. As long as it is securely in place the stitching is not affected at all (just ensure the lens protection option is switched on in settings).
@@iftibashir Maybe it's just their way of ensuring that it's fully screwed on. If the dot is at the bottom it must be correct. If it is anywhere else it might be correct... Or it might come loose.

When your moving the y carriage back and forth, does the back left bearing touch the backplate when you move it to that position? I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my y calibration and I don’t know what’s wrong.

My remotes stats are slow to respond. The stats also don't make it in the video after export

Im having a problem where the top most lef tbearing (the side that has 2) it hits the bed end (the one in the front) and i can see that the bearing slightly bounces off the edge, like it wants to continue a few milimiters more, and then the Y-Axis test fails (i finished assembling it a few hours ago). Do you have any clues? I checked belt tension and even moved the bearings a few mm back and is still hitting the end and bouncing. All other tests pass OKAY, even in older firmware. Only problem is at the Y-Axis test with that particular problem.
Just saw the log, all thest in y-axis returns 185-183 mm lenght and the last one, the one that fails, says 191 mm

bruh flipping the entire assembly to compare orientations like at 9:33 is annoying. the hook side went from the right to the left here
The Vertical Mount has a lot of freeplay/movement when connected to the magnetic base. Creating wobble. Any ideas?

Get the ZIKE DRIVE instead, buy a 2Tb or 4TB M.2 Drive 980/990 pro. Format to APFS, you get 3300mb+ speed writes.

I used this as my regular backpack for soooooooooo long. It was great, sturdy and fits quite a bit of stuff. It went with me on all my travels. It finally perished in a fire :( . Got it for free one day, and miss it a lot.
DO NOT BUY if you own a one R. It is completely USELESS. It pairs fine and wakes up the camera and gets stuck at "awakening camera" after it wakes up the camera. Then it goes into "camera disconnected". Tried multiple solutions but nothing works. I regret buying the remote and have to control the camera manually. Amazing hardware and video quality let down by the USELESS remote.
