I added a cage for my Ace Pro with a cold shoe on top on the cage and with all doors & quick mounts unblock.

I do like this setup - although it does mean several accessories to pick up, which all adds to the cost!

This is the only issue that's swaying me towards the dji action...however the night mode on the ace is just too good to pass. Anyone know if the update allows for full wireless mic capabilities yet?

Another great review as usual. I purchased the cold shoe mount thinking that I would be able to use the 1/4" thread. Wrong! now I have to do as you have shown and add a cheap and nasty 1/4" adapter with thumb screw. But it does work and I attach the cigarette power plug on my trike to the Ace Pro and I can shoot as long as I like and I'm only limited to the size of the Micro SD./ as before a great review and a BIG thumbs up👍

Yeh i was a little upset about having to use an adapter in between - would have been so much neater without!

Hi! I have an issue, when I connected the audio of airpod with instant Ace pro, the audio result completely silent and only take sound directly from the airpod mic when I talked . So no background sound from the ace pro, even I tried to speak directly to the mic hole on Ace pro still no sound. Then I tried disconnected it with the airpod, the mic on Ace Pro works well to catch the sound,(so I assumed no problem with internal mic). Is there any setting I need to change in my ace pro? I tried to gain external mic, to +6db but no change for the result. I need the video that can catch of natural background sound with. Awaiting for your advise...🙏

You may not be able to connect the cold shoe adapter - unless you can figure out another way of connecting the receiver? Maybe down on the mount elsewhere?

Appreciate the effort to share this set-up but this really makes it too large and too expensive, at least for me. Both the Ace Pro and DJI Mic 2 are great on their own. I think Action Cams are great addition to any user's bag.

Quick question. Today insta360 launched a new fw update for the ace pro. Can you test if the bluetooth connection with the dji mic 2 works again?

The current firmware is 1.0.41 and the DJI Mic 2 still cannot be used! I hope dji will fix this as soon as possible!

Thanks for the video. Can the Ace Pro receive the sound through the mic and the internal microphone simultaneously? So that one can speak near the phone and another can speak far away altogether.

Yes if you are using the receiver then you can connect two transmitters to it.

There are many comments about the incompatibility between Ace Pro and Mic 2 via Bluetooth under the latest firmware update. Can this setting in the youtube video described solve the problem? Can this setting detect the two DJI mic 2 transmitters at the same time?

In both range and quality. For general social media a direct BT connection would probably be OK to be fair - depends how picky you are with audio!

Hi, I would like to use the DJI Mic 2 for motovlogging, but I have a question. Do I just pair the transmitter with my Insta360 X4, and that's it, or do I also need to use the DJI receiver? I mean, do I always need to carry the receiver with me in my backpack? Thanks

You can do either, but you will receive better quality via the receiver.

No - the audio cord comes with the receiver. The actual Insta360 audio adapter comes with no cables.

How did you get the idea that the bluetooth connection between these two devices works? Yes, it's true the dji mic 2 shows up inside the ace pro after connecting via bluetooth, but that's it - no sound will be recorded whatsoever. The only explanation I have as to why you might have gotten the idea that they connect via Bluetooth is either: you simply didn't check the recording after you created your video, or you failed to install the latest updates on at least one of the devices. In the second case, you are actually lucky!!! Please don't install any updates until the following issue is fixed: It didn't work on my devices and DJI has confirmed that they are supposedly trying to fix this issue in one of their future updates, but 2 updates have already come in between and nothing has happened ... I have already produced some videos on the subject, I hope this helps to speed up a solution to the plight ...

Yeah, I was gonna say this worked with the one.00.27 firm wire but not with the one.0.41 which is the latest one I’ve already confirmed that and verified it with DJI as well
