This is why a tiger usually retreats or loses and gets killed in a fight against a lion, a lion has just as much stamina as these bears and same tools as tigers although a lions claws and fangs arent as long they are stronger and have more density. Even if you search "asiatic lion kills siberian tiger at korea zoo" and even in Rome when proverbs 3030 wrote who won back then we can see 2000 years of evidence the lion wasnt given the title King...it was EARNED!

A mother bear fighting for her nearly grown cub was doing her best to fend off the tiger that just seems like he’s just messing with her and is not hungry. If that big male tiger was actually hungry he would have made short work of the bear as they are on the menu. The tiger didn’t have a mark on him while the bear looked a bit chewed up and this was from him just playing around.

If I recall somewhere someone posed the question if a grizzly could defeat a tiger. Considering the heft of an adult grizzly any tiger would be in deep trouble. Of course both of these animals live on different continents so its all just theory.
