Are the small sized pads going to lower in price because they cost £120 currently and the larger ones are apparently going to be £20 less.

it could just be an issue with their directed customer base. they have a specific target audience that they sell to and modern corps style drumming makes more money than pipe bands in todays world, so the few distributors of pipe-band drums have basically cornered the market already. new players are pretty rare, like the new sponsorship that SCV has, and thats still tied into the modern corps-style audience

First! Personally, I use an offworld invader v3, and find that the offworld pad takes the cake against any drumpad, but honestly, that is just personal preference. Mainly what I look for in a drum pad is it not being too loud, rims, and 14" and that's exactly what I got out of the offworld invader. But that's just my opinion. Also, can you make a video going over how to play the Boston Crusaders' 2023 Snare break?
