    I have MEDICARE & a MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT but the SUPPLEMENT is becoming very expensive & I do not know how much longer I can keep it. also, if MEDICARE DOES NOT PAY A CLAIM, EITHER WILL THE SUPPLEMENT, SO REALLY WHAT GOOD IS THE SUPPLEMENT ????????

  • @MedigapSeminars

    If Medicare pays $80,000 toard outpatient care, the supplement pays the remaining $20,000. If you are an inpatient in the hospital without a supplement you pay $1,600 deductible per event and have only 150 consecutive daysof coverage. With the supplement everything is paid for 100%. If your supplement is getting too expensive, then i suggest re-shopping it. There can be a 400% difference in price between the most expenive insurance company and the lowest priced policy. 800-847-9680 or medigapseminars.org/contact-us/

    One of the costliest Medicare enrollment mistakes someone can make is signing up for a Medicare supplement with an insurance company that routinely “closes the book” on their customers. Companies like Mutual of Omaha use this deceptive tactic to lock unwitting victims with health conditions into plans with massive annual rate increases. Brokers need to be more vocal in warning their customers about this trickery.

    As always, your videos are most informative. The information about certain insurance companies offering benefits that include becoming a regular G plan but paying the Plan GHD premiums after a few years or after two years being able to switch, without underwriting, to one of the insurance company's other supplement plans.

    No mention of regular medicare premium which I understand is at least $174 monthly but increases based upon income. Many of the med advantage plans advertise no premium and some even put $ back into your social security payments to help with other items purchased (non prescription). Any comments about this?

  • @MedigapSeminars
    @MedigapSeminars6 күн бұрын

    You MUST have and pay for Medicare Part B in order to get an Advantage Plan. If an Advantage is offering a Part B Premium give back, be very, very careful. Ask yourself, how can they afford this? Where are they cutting expenses to make this possible? In most cases they are very small HMO's with limited network of sub [ar practitioners and no out of network coverage. Advantage Plans are, by law, an actuarial equivalent to Original Medicare Part A & B with no supplement.

    Here is another question: as a 79 year old woman, healthy, not needing any kind of drugs/ medications, having been on an advantage plan for years, and wanting to get out of the Medicare advantage plan, to switch over to the original Medicare plus a supplement plan. Is there even any chance of acceptance at this age???

    How can they automatically sign you up for Medicaid if you been drawing SS for at least four months?

  • @MedigapSeminars
    @MedigapSeminars8 күн бұрын

    They automatically enroll you in Medicare, not Medicaid. They do this because they can automatically deduct the premium from your SS income. You then have an option to opt out.
