If basketball had a bowl game this matchup would be called THE CHEATERS BOWL. These two programs are by far the dirtiest recruiting teams OF ALL TIMES. Syracuse isn't far behind. Both of these programs cheat "ON A TAR-HEEL LEVEL." BOTH programs should have been shut down by the DEATH PENALTY numerous times.

Had Kansas scored just one more basket in 3OT in 1957, then both Kansas and UNC would be tied 5-5 in terms of NCAA National Championships. Instead UNC is ahead 6-4. Oh what a difference 1 little basket in 3OT from 67 yeas ago (1957-2024) came make in terms of college basketball history.

it ended up working out well for both UNC & Kansas. Williams won 3 national championships for UNC; Bill Self has won 2 for Kansas, and Kansas has defeated UNC every time they have played since Roy left. With Self's 1st championship, Kansas defeated Carolina in the semifinals, and for Self's 2nd, they defeated Carolina in the championship game.
