    HID gets over 500F , halogen over 700F, leds you’d be hard pressed to see temps over 300F on any part of it.

    “The wires of the stator are all even!” What does THAT mean? You better look at OTHER parts of the alternator! Is this one made out of chinesium? Good Luck.

    Do not buy X2 batteries from Batteries Plus or anyone else. I spent $109 on a small lawn mower battery and it failed in less than a year. Thankfully I had given them a phone number for warranty look up at the time of purchase. They gave me another one but I have very little hope for it lasting very long. Next time I'll buy whatever Walmart has and just keep it on a tender

    The problem with LED bulbs in 4Runner housings is they just won’t hold up. Do to the heat especially down here in Texas heat. If they would make some type of heat pipe or remote head exchanger,, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

  • @crs1474

    Not sure about that. I’ve had LED bulbs in my stock projector housing which is inside a dust cover all through the lower western states (AZ, NM, TX, LA) for nearly 3 years and they’ve held up pretty well.

    Can’t you just plug a solar panel to your battery if it sits for 3 days . The solar panel has connectors for the car battery to keep it juiced up. I just got one but my battery is way to dead so I’m getting this exact battery you have on your KZread and connecting the solar panel.

    Rigid should have these lights assembled so customer can simply plug and install. They're are not customer friendly, particularly for the price of these lights. Same type of thinking on Rigjd ditch lights, they come with silver mounting brackets if you want black you have to come up with another 50 smackers........ again not customer friendly. It's the reason I purchase Diode Dynamics.

    My experience with x2 and batteries plus is negative. My one year old battery has failed to start i my Ram after two-day weekends twice. It failed to start after cleaning my cab out and listening to radio less than an hour. It failed to start twice last december after sub zero nights. I took battery in and batteries plus said there was no issue with it. I put Stock battery back in my truck four months ago and have had no issues with stock battery. I get 14.8vlts on alternator in the Ram. I decided to use the x2 as a trolling battery for my 16' alumacraft instead, however every time i go to take it off the shelf the battery is less than 12.4v. I have tried multiple chargers. All three of my chargers work great on the Optima batteries in my camper. Optima batteries are almost 10 years old now and charge to 12.7 and 12.8 after one night on charger. Zero issues ever with optima. That's what i get for looking around the store while i was getting a cell phone battery replaced (not real happy with that battery either btw) So $379 Flushed and feel assulted and Battery Plus. I really need to quit spending money in these giant chain stores. They couldn't care less. ALSO STICKERS ARE PEELING OFF OF THE BATTERY. I have never seen that on a battery, so cheap. Store #275 toledo, ohio

  • @richardyao9012
    @richardyao901210 ай бұрын

    The x2 is a rebranded odyssey/northstar. The warranty for those says “Alternators that do not have a regulated charge between 14.0V and 14.7V (no lower than 14.0V and no higher than 14.7V) will cause early failure of the Battery. Use of such alternators with the Battery will also void the Battery’s warranty.”. You said that your alternator outputs 14.8V, which is too high for the x2. It is ideal for a calcium lead battery. Those are typically maintenance free flooded cell batteries.

    @@Mike-cu6gk No, when I spoke to s&b rep he said with “Toyota” sometimes the computer has to relearn the maf reading, and it will kick itself into limp mode. And that cycling the key multiple times will make it relearn itself and kick out of limp mode. I made the effort for 2 days disconnecting the battery, starting the truck multiple times, to no avail. So I took it in and the check engine code was for the TPS sensor and it needed to be replaced for the truck to have throttle again. This happened to my 2018 4runner with less than 40,000 miles…..

    MAJIK... :) Not really. There is a guy on T4R.org that sells a kit to help you add one to your 4Runner. I helped him prototype the concept, and this is Prototype #2 - Its been in my 4Runner for 5 years with no issues. I haven't kept in touch very well with Jason since I haven't been active on Social Media much, but you should be able to reach out to him at: [email protected] Here is a thread showing the install: www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/272353-drivers-side-%C2%93%C2%94-pillar-grip-handle-installed-2014-t4r.html

    2:00 This never made sense to me. You are putting after-market, foreign objects in the path of an airbag. This could seriously impair the deployment of a safety feature and potentially injure a passenger sitting its path. I see this a lot with people routing GPS/Camera power cables along the the A-pillar, impeding the airbags there.
