It's actually quite funny. I have been playing competitive airsoft for 5 years at this point (Speedsoft) Airsoft in general i'm active for little over 8 years (Yes i did start out in tacticall gear & a platecarrier aswell) However we also still quite enjoy a normall skirm or event, during these events we still wear jerseys but in camo colors (Comparable to Woodsball, the paintball variant of milsim) Our mindset during these "normall" skirms is just to chill and have a great time with friends, so sure, we might push a bit more agressively, but nothing overly excessive. The amount of hate we experience during some events is just crazy. Fields banning the use of jerseys, players making statements about "Not belonging there cause you don't look like a soldier" At this point i just laugh it off, but it's a sad development to see people judging based off the brand you wear, and not by character or playstyle. We have had many instances off us bringing new players or intro's to a skirm and them just turning away from airsoft after 1 time playing because off the negative vibe they've experienced. In the end we're all just grown adults flinging 6mm plastic at eachother, a little less hate and some more understanding would go a long way, Great video in that regard!

Use it as a point-man for your teammates and scout ahead. Pair it with a tracer bb's or a blinding flashlight to point where the enemies are. You could even use it to escort the medic or hostage.

I have a speedsofter kit but use an ssr4 and don’t really play as fast as speedsofters, but I hate playing against them but I would LOVE being one

Going backwards in time…paintball with realistic gear…airsoft came and paintball died…now airsoft has died…this won’t bring it back…laser tag in airsoft would be improvement…just like military training

We dont really have a lot of speedsofters where im playing (Denmark in europe) but it happens they show up, but mostly they arent really a problem -also the rush playstyle could be applied to a camo dude as well, just depends whats your playstyle. Personally im converting at the moment from the more realistic approach to a more rushing approach. I liked the realism aspect of airsoft in the beginning, but realised its just a sport so dont need like 15 kg of equipment your never gonna use like NVG, Lights etc... as well as having my new hpa gun stripped down to 1.3 kgs build for rush. what im trying to say ? : the toxic speedsoft behavior is more depending on the person holding the gun, rather than the general playstyle. (seen milsimmers have outburst too, just because everyone didnt follow their fantasy world where they are the lone survivor hero thingy)

Everyone finds their own enjoyment in different aspects of the game. There are toxic regular, milsim and speedsofters alike and there are the people who respect their fellow players who are gonna be fun to play with no matter how they approach it.

Like he pointed out several times in the video, this is essentially just speedball in paintball and I don’t really understand because if you want to go the fast and sporty route why don’t you just play paintball where that is what we do instead of doing the same thing and acting like your reinventing your sport when your reinventing another sport?

we do indoor and outdoor games and its as mixed as it can be. we got milsimmers, speedqb'ers, cqb airsofters. We all have a good time in the netherlands

SpeedSoft gives Airsoft the opportunity to reach a wider audience, provides more structure and the opportunity to become as popular as Paintball! It's essential for the growth of our hobby into a sport! After running over 50 matches I can say that Airsoft's biggest problem is internal integrity. Players not calling shots, players not walking all the way back to spawn etc! Speedsoft takes all of that out of the equation!

The hate is mostly about the gear/clothing...(what I noticed) there are so many fast style players with milsim gear here in the Netherlands they never get complained about. when some are even faster then the speedy boys..

sometimes i want my sunday skirmishers to be more aggressive coz im bored waiting ina bush for ten mins but i also dont like going to a CQB game and i end up against a team of dudes that the marshals dont seperate coz they are their friends and they all have bloody team names. hoodies and customised AAP 01 with m4 mags that cost a few grand and I " a fat power lifter" with my pulse rifle, my friend who can barely see and his mp5 i built for him, a giant of a man with a tiny hi cappa and three mags and his teenage son... yes I'm venting

I agree that speedsofters have a place in airsoft and that they are helping to legitimize the hobby in the eyes of the public. I myself enjoy that playstyle from time to time but I don't want it to become the only play style. I still enjoy the more "traditional" style of play where there is just as much focus on the realistic replicas and dress up aspects as there is on performance. I hope camouflage, large - asymmetric fields, and tacticool loadouts don't become confined to milsim type events (Not that those are bad either).

I use Smith boogie regulators and I got revision desert locust goggles. Both pretty good and before I leave my house for the game, I use the wipes so it's nicely settled for when I arrive at the field

Where I live im one of the only soeedsofters in my entire city and typically I find that the milsim players are more likely to cheat because they are wearing so much protective gear that they can’t feel anything. I just wear a paintball jersey and I can feel a hit everytime so I almost never cheat

If you're at a field and see a group of 5+ speedsofters, you know you're gonna have hard time having them call their hits, you have to get stupid clean shots or have a gopro that will get them getting hit, refs know this and sadly they hardly ever split them up

Yes it will. We're already seeing it happen. You can be mad and deny it all you want, but the consequences are inevitable. Speedsofters got tolerated and now things will change. I'm a speedsofter and I can clearly see the reputation that other speedsofters have made for us - We earned this negative reputation. This stereotypical behavior was welcomed with open arms, so the floodgates can't be closed anymore. This current era of "everything must be inclusive" will kill the soul of every hobby, Luckily I have plenty of other hobbies left. Enjoy what you've done.

Hear me out, i started as ''Hardcore Milsim Player'' and i use to hate even an idea of Speedsoft/SpeedQb pretty much I just didn't understand why would you even consider to do such a thing as Speedsoft. After over 15 years of playing Airsoft a met bunch of speedy guys and we had long talk about differences between two playstyles, and now? I change playstyle myself i hang my milsim kit and started with Speedsoft/speedqb been on couple of tournaments on my local field and down in UK as well. Its different more enjoyable for me, im not saying that everyone should do that , but as someone who seen both sides of river i can tell only one thing! Doesn't matter if you choose Speedsoft or Milsim if you are A**hole 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂ All this so called hate between Speedsoft and Milsim type of players is pointless as at the end of the day we do what we like so why would we argue about it. Speedsofters need to switch to paintball. i played airsoft before enlisting infantry in the United States Marine Corps. Speedsoft certainly would have ruined that experience

Dmr's and hpa will ruin airsoft if the users dont stick to the joule limits set up and ra ge of engaements for dmrs shooting 1,7 joules in the hands of triggerhappy ppl that ru' there dmr in you fucking face and shoot! I have never minded speedsofters, you know there mostly in certain cqb venues anyway so you know they will be there if you play the terrain
