How Are Airsoft Guns Actually Developed

Спорт

Hey! Outdoor airsoft recently became illegal in Norway due to littering laws. I fear other european contries may follow this ban. I don't see anyone talking about this, so I just want to spread awareness wherever. We want to keep our sport.

@@sleepyboi7801 Yep. Almost all brands don't fulfill the EN 13432 grade of "anaerobic biodegradability of plastic materials". Basically most brands are still some percentage pure plastic and their biodegradeabillity hasn't been lab-tested to fulfill the EN 13432 grade. Has been illegal since december 2023 here in Bergen :(

@@NO0nelol69 Yep. Helmet is FMA, comtac is also confirmed to be skytac along with the optics(usually Vector Optics), same with a lot fo their tactical gears like gloves belts etc. For the price of the plate carrier, you can buy a MIL rated one. the ssr4 is a piece of crap, the etu fries and the stocks tend to break. their arp9 will be on fire after 3 mags of full auto. I like the G36 though(except the shitty m4 magwell). Common novritsch, waiting for explanation! If you can clear these points I mentioned, you will have a solid follower who can bring you a lot of guys(because I'm working with ther new guys in our field and team). Ohh, actually, I'm very happy about the new AK platform you will release, I like the modernized(some would say scifi) style, and generally everything, just make the parts compatible with other AKs(for example: charging handle, MAGS(!!!), stock and thats kinda all. No reason for the handguard to be changed lol)

I love this type of video especially as a manufacturing engineer myself :) Well done in showing your process and I am sure it is not easy to rely on a subcontractor to deliver your designed parts. I think the video of the QC is a good idea as it can be hard to control and easy to by pass 👍🏼 I find it also interesting how your products are batch produced. Looks like it gives you room for fine tuning as you learn from customer feedback and experience in general and possibly even leaves room to end or start new products based on how well they sell. I also think it is you main reason why some of your items stay out of stock for so long as well 🫤 Still, nice work and keep em coming 👍🏼👍🏼

Very good video and simple enough. As an engineer, I know the whole process all to well. This video contains all the fun parts of the SE process, the less fun parts like the CMS and CMS control plan, Logistics engineering, Datapacks, ECPs, audits, ISO standards, etc... is what makes people really appreciate the effort that goes into this whole process. It is often work people do not like to do, but needs to be done. I however do think that it must be incredibly fun working for a company like Novritsch. It isn't always easy finding a company that is directly in line with one's passion.

It's good to see the step-by-step procedure, and there was a mega amount that didn't occur to me, but Novritsch has always said that it tests it's products, but this shows their quality control over their designs are as rigorous as any product anywhere that's being mass produced. It's good that they mentioned the SSP5, because I've been after the top-slide upgrade that they posted about 18 months ago that was in the development stage. Now I know exactly what's involved, I'll stop pestering them.

Hier bei novritsch gilt tatsächlich „Made by players“ danke hierfür. They dont. If you change parts on a replica (e.g. Hopup Bucking, Slide and Outer or sth.) and then sell it, thats technically no longer a rebrand to me. The question should be if the changes made to the base model provide enough value to justifiy the raised price and the marketing claims compared to the base model. Since i know how to work on my own stuff i dont need "pre upgraded" ootb, thats why current novritsch replicas arent for me. Unless they make a spring or gas powered 870style pumpgun with spare part support that probably wont change :D. I think least part of the criticism and the whole "rebranding" talk comes from the marketing around novritsch products. Claiming that stuff is "build to the max" or "fully preupgraded" (idk if these exact terms where used but you get the point) while only minor internal parts are changed, that sparks criticisim if it comes to indipendend reviews. Because thats where it really matters if you buy prebuild stuff, everybody can change a Stock on an m4. If they just would cleary state what is the base model or what manufacturer theyre working with and what parts are upgraded, everybody could cleary compare thier products to others and make a fully informed descision. E.g.(of the top of my head, didnt want to fully research it): The SSR15, made in cooperation with VFC, we put in a titan, changed the hopupbucking and fittet a pts stock and pistol grip, it costs like 50€ more then a stock avalon... Other Shops and brands (begadi, umbrella armory, etc.) also are able to do this, so they should also be able to. They dont have to advertise what the base is (if there is one), they just should put it somewhere in the description for the potential buyers that care.

Make an M4 platform - with a skeleton or base thats the same - so yall can throw 'faceplates' so to speak over the top of it - change the barrels, to easily give people access to basically any m4 variant (I personally have a m933 commando/vietnam era one) and it would be easy to manufacture for you guys if you do make an m4 base platform that can be built on top of and face swapped easily so to speak, so that yall could essentially build one base, with lots of faces to give everyone variants in style and barrel lengths. You could also apply this to other popular platforms, like the MP5 which has variants, as well as the AK platform. I think this would not only be crucial if you guys could develop this sort of 'system' of making a base that goes with multiple formats, that you guys could really lock down American and Australian and European markets all simultaneously just by hitting us with an AK, AR/M4, and some HK setups like this. Mix and match and custom order your own? Pleeease. You guys would be loaded rich and your number one issue would be hiring machinists, and laborers fast enough to make them.

What I want for dry fire training are DA/SA airsoft replicas that have a similar trigger pull. Not a single DA/SA airsoft pistol at IWA had somewhat decent trigger. A lot of FoF guys on the cheap and a lot of 'real steel' users would use a lot more airsoft pistols. This expands the pool of buyers. They don't need to fire necessarily. If it has the same weight, balance, sights, triggers and grips would fit, see that version like a more usable blue gun. If it could replicate some recoil to some degree that's nice too.

I recently purchased an SSP2 and arrived with the grip safety detached from the frame.. i was dissapointed but it was an easy fix. Looking at the box, it was in extremely bad condition.. upon opening the box, i got a cloud of dust in my face. Now this may have been caused by the supplier i bought it from, no worries.. i fixed it up. Then i went to shoot the gun and noticesld bb's were always veering to the left.. the bucking was torn. No worries, I repaced the bucking. This was my first novritsch product and as i run pistols as primaries i was a little dissapointed that i had to fox these isshes before using the pistol however, where most would have returnded the pistol, i gave it a new lease of life. She runs well, and i love it and have welcomed it as my new primary. The dream is an SSP5, but at the moment i cannot afford it. Either way, i am very happy with my pistol and look forward to purchasing the SSP5.

The transparency is fantastic, and theres no shame in outsourcing parts especially when legendary companies like CYMA outsource their work. However, along with the premium price I hope that 100% of the manufacturing is ethically sound for all workers, especially with the stigma of non-western manufacturing working conditions and laws.

It's cool that you all decided to share some of your process. I unfortunately have run into one of your replicas that failed out of the box. Long story short, your tech was useless for my problem, so I had to fix it myself after a month of a useless replica. Returning for repair or replacement was never offered by your tech. That has made me a bit gunshy buying a new replicas from Novritsch.

Does somebody going to school for product design? This is a very interesting insight into the reality of manufacturing and product design. School programs are so disconnected from reality because of the time constraint to teach you. Basically a lifetime of stuff in 3-4 years. Maybe so seeing how an actual product goes from concept to reality is very intriguing. Honestly school makes it seem so much more complicated than it really is. or maybe you guys just make it look easy😂

"Product Designer" or similar is a fairly common education. They learn a lot of valuable skills that relates to product design and should be respected for this. However they typically have no airsoft technical or gameplay experience, making it difficult for them to design products. This is what happens in many of the bigger airsoft companies. They're being run by non-airsofters who then hire non-airsoft "product designs" for "product development". Novritsch Trading also has generic "product designer" educated staff, but there was always a heavy focus on airsoft experience in the hiring process. So they have significant airsoft experience in the key decision positions, and the result is obvious when you take a quick look at the products compared to other big companies. Made by players for players.

I wouldn't consider all nov guns rebrands. But some guns are produced by so many companies, that have all tried to make it perfect, so there is no way, you can offer all of these steps for every gun without making it more expensiv, than what your guns are. You produce affortable guns and development is expensiv... of course you have to cut corners somewhere

so basically an npas? negative pressure air system. some companies or after market companies make npas for in the nozzle loader. you can dial in for faster cycling/bigger recoil but less power shooting the bb. or more power for shooting but less recoil/slower cycling. you cant do both. the gas is split to be used in two different ways. But if you have one rifle for large playing fields and CQB you can dial in more joules or less to be field legal. if you want even greater power for both than you would need more pressure. like co2, red/black gas or HPA.

I see the airsoft community go mad about replicas made in China. Here's the thing - the CNC doesn't care what country it's in. In the guitar world, everyone nicks everyone else's ideas when it comes to innovation. 15 years ago, yeah, wouldn't have touched a far eastern guitar, but now it's an entirely different ball game and it doesn't just end with guitars. I had a Charvel guitar a while ago which I will still swear blind was the exact same body I found on a Schecter a year or two later. You've got highly skilled workers delivering a product that was designed in Europe/the US, and it's the EXACT same situation in the guitar and amplifier world. Novritsch nick ideas from TM. TM steal from G&G, who commit corporate espionage at Lancer (well, maybe not Lancer lol)...you get the idea. Novritsch might very well send out the occasional clunker and yeah, this is some slick, but informative, marketing. Take it with a pinch of salt because it's the guy marketing his own company. But as someone new to the game, just like guitarists and their fear of far eastern imports, my impression is you're clinging to notions from 15/20 years ago. Oh, and one final thing. If these weren't made in China you'd all be screaming about how prohibitively expensive these all cost because of labour costs and all the rest.

Personally, I think you guys need to ditch the mosfet and wiring you guys use. I ordered a SSR4 gearbox from you guys. The trigger switch was dead on arrival. I got a new mosfet from you guys within a week. The second one was dead on arrival. I paid like $130 usd for a gearbox I cant even use without buying a 3rd party etu. I wont be getting a 3rd mosfet from you guys because I cannot be sure it would even work. I like the pouches I have from you guys. I like the fast attach foam filled suppressor I got from you guys. I cannot recommend anything with that etu in it to my friends though. I understand the cost of switching to a better etu would be insanely high, but you guys have to be losing money on the current one anyways. The wiring for the ETU is also too thin. There should be at least 16g wiring just for the proper resistance. That would go a long way towards saving the ETU from burn out as well.
