Dont ask me what the hell it all means. My interpretation is I think it is a slant against the talent show he went through.. Aussie idol. He had heaps of ill feeling towards it and i think he frames this through death, or death of his own musical voice. Also the reference to a cage, being lost and trials adds to this image. Thank holy heaven they didnt get him, hes a very talented guy and i respect him enormously.

Not bagging you or anything, but I'm pretty sure everywhere he played this, it was exactly the same. I remember standing in the crowd, right behind my girlfriend, crying, the entire night. Thats all i remember

i love how awkward he gets after the girl goes "WOOHOO" haha he looses his train of thought, he is so adorable :) From what I have seen I think he has a great personality! He isn't cocky at all!

Went on the tuesday night and the whole crowd was captivated throughout his whole performance (but especially this song!) This song is nothing short of a masterpiece and i can't stop repeating it. Sweet, sweet audible chocolate

Saw it live at the Forum as well, fkn amazing - the crowd just watched in silent awe. This was song #2 in the setlist yeah? (I went on the Tuesday night - not sure what night this was filmed).

Thanks for the upload! did you happen to get footage of his first song, 'song for'? I love it and i've never heard him play it live before. he played it on the wednesday, so i assume he played it whichever night this was as well. if you have it, i'd love it if you posted it!
