It’s bizarre that Bette Midler hasn’t ever been nominated for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, she should’ve been inducted years ago.

Jim McKay brought a heart and soul to the Olympics that has never existed again since ABC stopped carrying them. Now it is all about who won or lost and in particular NBC is only interested in events where the US might win. Jim McCay respected and focused on all the athletes from all the countries of the world, whether they had a chance of winning or not. To him the Olympics were much more than just another game or competition.

They use a different technique now for passing the baton. In ther old days they passed it blind below the waist. Now it is passed shoulder high.

Little Puddin’ was because Don was busting his balls and called him a little p*ssy for screwing up a play or not hitting the hole or something. But he said I can’t call you little p*ssy so your nickname is little puddin’!

Aaron Pryor had ridiculous great movement to go along with his top tier explosive offensive arsenal. He could shake and bake with the best of them. Not sure if I put enough descriptive adjectives in there, but Pryor should definitely be considered an all time great. IMO, best ever 140 lb Champion. RIP Ring Warrior.

Every player who ever played for Leon Hess had nothing but great things to say about him. He might not have been very good at finding the right people to run the team, but he cared very deeply about every player who played for him.

This murderer played sports? How insignificant a story that is in his life. It’s like when people really want to talk about the type of paintings Hitler made before all the sweaty speeches.

There will never be another coach like Paul Bryant. Those of us who remember him know how competitive his teams were; yes, he was a master at motivation and was called by one colleague as probably the greatest motivator that the game had ever seen but even more important than that, he was a caring person who wanted to help those that helped him. The scholarship fund that was set aside for the children of his former players is a testimony about how much he cared about those who helped him to be successful.
