Shipbuilding during the early 20th century was the frontier of technological development, and ships were symbolic spectacles to the public.
This is why I choose to remember these legendary vessels.

Good video 😊😊😊
Thank you very much!
Unfortunately, I am afraid we may soon be striking the S.S. UNITED STATES from that list. Her prospects look very dire. I would not consider the QUEEN MARY 2 an "Ocean Liner". More like a cruise ship that makes a transatlantic voyage every once in a while "for old times' sake". I am shocked the SAVANNAH is still around. I figured she had been scrapped long ago. It's also weird that the STOCKHOLM remains. With her age, she'd have normally scrapped long ago. The ANDREA DORIA was just the beginning for her.
😢 rip titanic britanic olympic carpathia
When ships had elegance, grace & style 🩵
OK
What if the edmund fitzgerald was raised in the great lakes?
What about the queen elizabeth 2
I liked not only the ships, but also the music, it is very beautiful
even if not the Olympic, at the very least; they should have saved the RMS Aquitania - she was the only vessel in this list to serve BOTH world wars - her era should have been preserved with her; or many other of these vessels 😢😓
1912
bro did not show SS nomadic🥲🥲:(
last white star line in the world!!!!!!!!
Because it’s not an ocean liner.
❤😮😢😢😢
floating palace wow
It’s so sad to see the titanic’s hero sink just like the titanic did.
I don’t think the normandie is the most luxury ship right now I think the most is the icon of the seas
This is bs that the Olympic class liner’s stop before the older Lusitania liner’s
Wow ! I love the the ship United states
Why hmt ile de Frace have humble 3😐
Titanic launch
I missed Aqua
Rip Noradade
Wow?!
Most of the ship of white star line sank
so many ships caught fire!
The crew of the artic is very brutal bc the passengers killed and attacking only the captain and 2 crew survive
The Britannics bow looks like a smashed pancake
What about suspiciu lines
What about Cunard RMS Franconia ?
if RMS MAURITANIA DON'T SCRAP IS GOOD IS MY FAMOUS SHIP
Nice
I don’t know if you can really count this one but the nomadic still exists (she is on display in Belfast)
2:35 - 2:50 The Rms Aquitania was my Favorite Ocean liner and it should have been deserved to be saved
Titanic Had a Short Life
0:42 were the engines running or was it just the flow of water spinning it?
The engines were not installed, it was the flow of water spinning the propellers
What about the Edmund fitzgerald
Not an ocean liner
Man the music makes me miss all the old times…
The Titanic didn't deserve his destiny
The Titanic and Britannic look very similar when they were launched, but the Britannic just seems a little longer
Britannic was only 1.5ft wider than Titanic. They were practically the same length at about 883 ft
what an absolute waste... those sailors must have been utterly sad
Cool
I love how simple the ship from 19th century is
😤. no nooooooooo nooooooooooooooooooo
big respect for the RMS
Wonderful video. The RMS Queen Mary is a beautiful sight to see. I practically lived on the ship back in the 70s, docked at port of Long Beach.

Why was the Olympic’s hull white?
To make all the portholes stand out in photographs. This showed the public just how large Olympic truly was.
