It was made by YJ Toys and Crafts. They’ve made a lot of other really cool animatronics over the years for Spirit. 🎃

Display Story: After some sinister experiments gone wrong, Outpost 13 site B sits decaying at an undisclosed location deep in the woods. This cold war era experimental facility has been long forgotten, but still serves an important purpose: containing the horrors that lurk within it’s walls. Reanimated corpses, mutated lab rats, shapeshifting entities, and even alien lifeforms are just some of the twisted creatures rumored to reside here, forming an infestation of terrors hidden within the old junkyard the facility overtook. It’s even been said that the few researchers and guards still working at the outpost have become nearly as corrupt as the entities they have secured here. While most of what takes place inside Outpost 13 is shrouded in secrecy, what little is known is enough for us to only hope that nothing, ever, gets out.

The cage there I believe is actually the support for the counter for the dressing rooms back when they had those. Usually it’s covered up by something but by this point they were taking it all down.

I’m not sure the exact reasoning, but I think it was more of a personal choice to end it rather than bankruptcy or anything like that. Still sad though, was a great place.
Just Fun was great. I used to get a cigar at the Pipe Den while my wife went shopping. It was great back then. My wife passed away in 2011. We had fun at the Swansea Mall. Those are good memories.
Yeah it was a really nice place. I’ve had some good times there over the years myself, and my mom especially has had a lot of memories there too. It was cool, smaller than most of the other malls in the area but it had it’s charm. Very sad that it closed down, but at least it lives on in some form with that new shopping plaza they’re making out of it. Hopefully they keep the original entrance, it seems like they are so far. Also, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m glad you have nice memories like that to hold on to.
