Outpost 13: Containment | Animatronic Horror Display @ Wild Time Comics - Free Comic Book Day 2024

Hey everyone! Here is a full walkthrough of my newest display at the shop, Outpost 13: Containment. The display was set around a remote abandoned research facility. The aesthetic was sort of a cabin in the woods structure with an interior lab, surrounded by a junkyard on the exterior. This was a completely new theme for me, so it was cool to try out and use a large variety of props, quite a few of which haven’t been used at these events before.
As always I want to send a huge thanks out to everyone who stopped by, to all of our volunteer staff that day, and to @hauntchannel9593, @HalloweenFan101, @hickshaunter, and @hauntabulous9963 for helping out a ton and for bringing some of their own props to display.
Also an additional thanks to HicksHaunter for letting me use part of his 2023 haunt name for this, and to @foxofthedead001 and @sardonyxhalloween1987 for helping out with the paint job and voice for the custom scientist greeter “Dr Watts” made by Halloween Fan 101 for this display.
It was a fun time, looking forward to the next one in October!

Display Story: After some sinister experiments gone wrong, Outpost 13 site B sits decaying at an undisclosed location deep in the woods. This cold war era experimental facility has been long forgotten, but still serves an important purpose: containing the horrors that lurk within it’s walls. Reanimated corpses, mutated lab rats, shapeshifting entities, and even alien lifeforms are just some of the twisted creatures rumored to reside here, forming an infestation of terrors hidden within the old junkyard the facility overtook. It’s even been said that the few researchers and guards still working at the outpost have become nearly as corrupt as the entities they have secured here. While most of what takes place inside Outpost 13 is shrouded in secrecy, what little is known is enough for us to only hope that nothing, ever, gets out.
I really need those trees from spirit hollow bridge do you know where I can find any at? Ha ha anyways nice setup!

Thanks! My best bet would just be check on sites like eBay. You could also try asking in Spirit fan groups like the big one on Facebook. 👍
