Playing this map was one of the closest things to a waking dream. It's so surreal and almost perfectly recreates the bizarre feeling of a vivid childhood dream.

4:55 The funniest part is that there is not enough space on old floppy disks to store both the game code and the graphics. So the game just draws everything in vector graphics, just make some shapes and lines, then fill them with solid colour, then throw some more lines on top. The downside is that trying to draw these at a higher resolutions leads to interesting results, like lines not meeting at a point.

reminded me of Uzumaki. Keep seeing the same thing over and over that when you see certain things you'd think "is that?...no". A creepy feeling that uses memory to recall unsettling events. A soft PTSD of sort. Very interesting seeing it being used here.

Re: the JJ Hardy autograph and placing the game- given that the creator uses the word “pop” (almost exclusively used in the American Midwest), it seems like he’s probably from either Milwaukee or Minneapolis

@PowerPakGames ok; gotta say, this is the most unsettling game mod I've ever watched to experience but also I want to point out a detail my brain stuck on; as you neared the end you mentioned that in the actual WAD; DoomGuy is the original *smaller* height here : kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z6t10ZdtdKuqiZM.html, while the PK3 DoomGuy is made *taller* Well...earlier during Expedition 2; you mentioned you were "too big to fit inside" the baggage conveyor : kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z6t10ZdtdKuqiZM.html please; my curiosity has to know, has someone found a way to get "smaller" DoomGuy inside the baggage conveyor??? XD

just had this thought (probably not new lol), but what if all the versions of the house (e.g. the flooded house, the burnt house, etc) represent stages of grief? like, the flooded house and the pool area represent depression, the burnt house (and maybe the underhalls map) represents anger, and the navidson reality part represents acceptance...? idk what the kids play area would be, maybe reminisce? that isnt a stage of grief but whatever haha, this was just a thought i had while watching this

Congress actually did an extremely good thing on this front recently. Non-compete clauses in employment contracts have been struck in the United States. You can no longer expel a team from this industry, as was extremely common before this point.

Yeah, overwatch really hurts. It removed characters kits, Mei's ice, Mccree's flashbang, bastion and torbiorn. Like they could of just added like different weapon kits for heroes if they were gonna do that, let you keep playing with the old kit, but have this new kit. If you just remove how a character has played for years you basically just removed them from the game people payed for.

So. I think I watched this video within the first week or so of it's original upload. In that time, I have sufficient allowed House of Leaves to dissolve whatever remained of my psyche. But seeing the doors opening one after another in the Hallway about an hour in got a visceral reaction that i have only felt a handful in my life about media/art. Thank you for making this video and thank god for the person who originally created the wad. I unironically feel like this is a step towards something more fulfilling and actually got me to start reading again.
