Hello and thanks for having a look at my channel. I'm a long-time gamer and this channel will focus on my love of miniature wargaming, with a particular focus on the Batman Miniatures Game.
My opinions are honest and I try to portray the bad as well as the good.
I hope that you find these videos informative about a very interesting game and, dare I say it, entertaining.

Absurd to the max, which is perfect.
Very nice battle report and good to see some HC action as I am planning to expand my armies to match the standards of HC. As a historian I agree with your perception about the capability of the Persian army, the vast empire certainly makes for interesting armies and not all were "horde" armies or of inferior quality. The Greeks were definitely at the peak of soldiership but get a bit too much praise especially in older literature. As for HC itself, I like to watch but still not totally convinced by the system. While it definitely has a historic base and one can argue that the command system is reasonalbe, from a player's view I don't like it when half or more of my armies just stands around...
Great battle report amazing looking armies!
Superb minis, nice report!
loved this battle Report I think it flows so well that you are playing solo etc
I love your rapid cometary of the battles and your models are great keep going mate i love it..
No Under Siege? :)
Nice report, just slow the camera movement down please and thank you
Great storytelling. Great units. Great cat!
The camera movement all the time made me seasick 🤢
Really nice battle report (and sorely needed too, since I couldn't find any other). I'm not prone to motion sickness, but all that bopping and swaying is something else! Have you considered a stand of somesort?
Lovely Setup you got there. May I ask what kind of cobblestone road you got there? What is the manufacturer of those? Thanks in advance!
It’s funny, when I played I also had my legionaries struck down by the ghouls. They only hit on 6s, but they hit like a truck!
Yeah that moment was a great equaliser.
kzread.info/dash/bejne/a4tmqaZ_grW1hJc.html That sound for killing the ghouls was absolutely perfect!
I didn't even realise I was doing it
Just backed the kickstarter, roll on next year (Roman Legionaries, check, greenstuff on want list from Element Games, starter rules already downloaded)
Thanks for doing this. It is informing my backing decision!
No worries I hope it gave a semblance of how the game works through my sleep deprivation!
Congratulations. 😀 ……Great video👍 I really enjoy your HC battlereports.
Thanks it's good to play as well
Love the coverage! Keep up the great work! :D
Thank you!! 😁
Are those Servitors of Mormo from the official game or did you craft them yourself? Edit: Nevermind, I heard you say later in the video they are hand made. Very impressive!
No worries! Yeah just some legionary figures and green stuff.
Coming back to this, this is really a great review!
Thanks very much
Nice report, good to see an unmatched game. Thanks
Thanks it's nice to throw out something a little different.
Congratulations to the new addition. Look forward to seeing you when you get time again.
Thank you!
Another top battle report. Congrats to you and your missus on squeezing a sprog out.
Cheers very much that's too flattering.
Congratulations on the little one. Thank you for posting - I don’t have any ancients/sword and board historicals but this is tempting. I’d imagine the game may be getting more exposure now/soon due to the new warlord ‘epic’ set that’s been announced.
Thanks it's an experience so far. It's a good ruleset to own even if you have a different ancients set you prefer to play- Hail Caesar lets you set up quick scenarios like this one regardless of how your collection is based.
Great report. The game looked fun. Nice armies as well. I don’t think I would have the patience to paint that many Greeks.
Thank you very much! All made possible due to covid lockdown and the Citadel contrast range.
Congratulations!!! You are going to be so busy the next few years!
I expect so. But so far I'm still able to run the roleplaying group so there's hope.
First and most important....CONGRATULATIONS! Second, nice cat! And finally, liked the battle report. I have large amounts of Greeks and Persians myself, maybe I will do a battle report one day.....
Thank you, it was something of a surprise! And thank you, she loves to explore the games room when it's open. Finally, cheers it's good fun to put the games on. If it weren't for the channel I don't think I'd have the oomph to play them.
Impressive batrep and wonderful models. Excited for Epic. Are you? I subbed. please consider sending one my way. Thanks!
Ah cheers it's been really good to use the collection after I painted it. If I could afford another scale, and have space to store it, I'd be all over that new Punic Wars range.
Great game, you narration was very entertaining. I think Alexander was badly injured, not dead. I am looking forward to another one of your battles
Any and all wargame periods xould be "controversial ". Not one thats not had hideous things happen. Just play the game periods you like, even 40k etc..and leave the politics and moral hand wringing that plagues everything these days OUT of the hobby. If you cant seperate the two, whoever you are, maybe wargamming aint for you.
This shit happened though, actual people died. Not everyone has the luxury to completely remove themselves from reality. You don't have to stop, but atleast give respect to the people who's death and suffering inspired these games.
@@fan9775 lmao bro really said "leave the politics out of war"
Love the vids and the rule break down in the beginning
Thank you so much!
As a Greek I always thought Alexander was Greek, guess I was wrong.
I'm going with the differentiation according to the army lists, where "Alexandrian Macedonian" is distinct from "Later Hoplite Greek".
:)

You sound like a Brit actor whom has a very different sense of humor etc. Anyway lead on MacMuff.
Saw the demo game at Salute 51, your review has encouraged me to order the rule book: informative, clear and entertaining……. Just like Bloodbowl! 😎 Any advice on finding clubs/ events that run this system?
Clubs- well that's just down to finding somewhere that plays historical around your area. S&H is so financially reasonable that you can easily make up enough units to run a game yourself and have anyone join.
@@Shieldwall100 found people in Reading, Farnborough and Guildford. Apparently there are people in the Crawley area but finding it hard to reach them via social media. Got my print and play stuff done and I’m planning out my first miniature army. If you fancy a game let me know!
If you can get far enough South, then we play at the hailsham wargames club. You can hit us up on hailshamwargamesclub "at" gmail "dot" com Another possibility you can get for playing games is to go to one of the Lardy events that are periodically held. They should tell you which games are on in advance.
@@Shieldwall100 email sent.
what table size is this?
6x4 feet. Biggest I can manage.
Very cool project!
Cheers- help yourself to the 3d printable files if you haven't already done so.

Whoop whoop! Thanks! That's 970 more subscribers than I thought I'd ever have.
I loved this movie, where are the alien miniatures from?
Check the description for a link to the free stl files for 3d printing
Fab setup and great game 👍🎲
Thank you that's very kind.
Do you have any play through vids - want to get my head around momentum!
Not of this, but Spectre Miniatures have recently said that theirs are almost finished.
@@Shieldwall100 yeah im waiting for them ;-)
When do the Brits come in and save the day?
Ahahaha no, no more factions thank you
Great video. Would love to see a step-by-step of a Spectre Operations V3 turn. Keep up the good work.
Pretty sure there is a playthrough on the Spectre Miniatures channel- I'm still not at the stage where I'm confident enough to display my ignorance proudly!
I think the game is fun, and even with postage it was not bad. Transport once it is punched is not as slim as when you first receive it, as you have tio back up cards and counters I think the oldest "Build your own fantasy army" large scale wargame I have read would be from 1977, "The Emerald Tablet" where you can have to design the basic stats of your individual troops, or Chivalry and Sorcery 1st edition, which had a more standard wargame format for the era, where you did have "types" but they were not as abstracted as HoTT or Mythic Commander Mythic Commander's version is a lot more elegant
Hi, I printed the warriors, leader and intelligence figs so far. Operations are printing now. I had all 21 of them print fine. I did bump the y axis up to 115% since they looked fragile. They turned out quite nicely. The leader was still fragile but he did print up completely. Again, a HUGE THANKS for making these files!
No problem I hope you get good use from them.
