Only played Desert Strike on the Mega Drive during the early 90ies. It was released right on time with all the gulf war news, well about 1 year later after operation Desert Storm. I think its a piece of art, with its story and missions, its just very well made. Hard to imagine better, but i will try the others at one point.

As someone who doesn't really enjoy online multiplayer games, I do enjoy Evil Dead: The Game's gameplay. It's not perfect, but it's very fun and is a pretty good horror twist on the Tomb Raider combat and loot mechanics. But the single player missions available to play are definitely fun, and is a good way to test your knowledge of the maps and improve your skills nefore ever attempting the online aspect of the game. And the rewards for the missions are brilliant, as they are all entirely canon tape recordings. Many of them are original, but some of them are (almost) taken straight from the films. One of them even presents an event in the tv show that only shows up in the 80's that Ash and friends travel to, which ends up CHANGING those events. So basically, we get to experience the true version of those events without confusing time travel shenanigans that the show doesn't properly explain in either season 2 or season 3.

I can honestly say as far as game creators go Greg Johnson is the absolute best. I backed 'back in the groove' on Kickstarter going back a few years ago. Whilst it was running I thought I'd be cheeky and ask him, if I sent him my copy of TJ&E and a postal order for him to send it back, he was happy to do that for me. Months passed and I asked if he had received my copy of the game. He said he hadn't and it turned out that it had been lost in the post. :( Being the absolute legend that Greg is, he grabbed a copy from his house signed it and shipped it to me, all from his own pocket! It sits at the top of my cabernet in my front room and is my pride and joy.

Loved these games as a kid, but they were too hard for me at the time. Tried to play it on Emulator a few times. Unfortunately, attempting to use any Game Genie codes with it cause your fuel to drain super fast for some unknown reason; presumably these codes worked with the original cartridge but not the ROM.

They had Outrun 2 SP SDX in the Derby Intu shopping centre about 10 years ago i think it was. That had 4 linked units with the sit in cars on motion bases. Its funny because i got to be able to finish that game but i still havent got to the end of the original Outrun, ive come close but not quite made it many times. Games were tougher back in the 80s. After bearly 40 years ive only just finished R-Type and R-Type 2 for instance. And that took many hours of practice that i had spare due to being off work after having a heart attack.
