Love to see your fave independent designers!
Will defo do a video focusing on this specifically! X
Can you do an Pre-Autumn/Autumn prediction? ❤
Yess will do this xx
@@Grace.Robinson thank you!
I love thrift store shopping!! I can try things out of my comfort zone super cheap. And many times, those items end up being my favorite!! If the item doesn’t work, I’m out less than $10.
Yes me too! You can take more risks 100%%
If I thrift something I really love and that has mostly natural fabric like silk, cotton, linen, wool, etc. I usually go to Depop and look for that brand name, and similar styles will pop up!
Such a good tip!!
The cashmere sweaters i have and love, were bought on vinted and they weren't even expensive. I love them. A lot of my clothing is from vinted 😊
It’s honestly my go to for everything these days!! Xx
We have to stop with the aesthetic crap😅, the background looks nice. Life isnt aesthetically pleasing, life is raw, with flaws, and its the best like this❤
Ah so true! Thank you 💚💚
Would love a video on your fave small/ independent brands!! 💖
Omggg yes. Would love to do this. Stay tuned 💚
I love your vibe
💚
The perspective is so white 😂lmao
I have a indigo denim trench coat! Definitely a look! And I thrifted it!
Omggg so jealous haha. Glad to know they exist! X
Hi. Trends like "Hibiscus graphic tees" such a specific thing - you can be sure that this is microtrend - and we have more and more microtrends with every season thanks to social media expecially tiktok. This is too specific thing to be inspiring for longer than two months. First goes really viral and then no one can look at it without thinking oh this is the dress/ other thing from tiktok... Microtrends are detrimental to environmental well-being. And we really should think before we engage in trends that last such short period. Anyway, lovely to listen to you, keep inspiring! :) I personally love summer colorful stripes, I have cumulated few dresses over last years.
I am so so agree with you.. l love fashion too. And this year is my low buyer clothes but l love all l have in my wardrobe and try to mix and match them am not minimalist becoz fashion is like an art for me just try to be wise to spend more money for clothes. I love your channel❤
I really want to try a low / no buy month! Thank you so much ❤️
There’s a NY based KZreadr named Simply Kura who has an indigo trench almost exactly like you showed, and she had said who the designer was. If you look through her videos back to last fall/winter, you could find when she talked about it and get the link.
Oooh thank you so much! Definitely going to check her out!
Minimal outfits with a little flair are my favourites
Yesss me too!
I just thrifted a polka dot dress with a very 50s cut, but a very y2k color palette (brown dress with pink polka dots), and I didn’t even know it was trending right now lol. It is also the perfect wedding guest dress, but because I don’t have any weddings to attend soon I’ll just wear it out and about
Wait this dress sounds insane, im jealous ahah!! Sounds like something that you can wear to multiple occasions which is amazing!
Love these trend prediction videos 💓 Would be amazing to see styling videos too
Thank you!! Got a new wardrobe haul coming up but will defo do some styling videos soon 💖💖
Yesss to chainmail outfits! I have a headpiece that I love but it is so heavy it gives me haedache after a while xD and I also just bought a long denim trench at the beginning of the summer but kinda found it hard to style it the way I would love tbh
Oh no way!! tbf I can imagine the trench is difficult but Istill want one hahaha
Omg loved this
<3
What terrific advice! I get angry at myself for spending so much money on junk! I’ve been much better in 2024 but I still have work to do. 😊
Thank you! Sounds like you are making progress though!!
I love sewing clothes from natural fabrics like linen and cotton. I get some fabulous pieces that cost much less. Not sure that I can sell some of these used pieces.
I'm working on a capsule myself
Love it!
Your top is lovely where is it from?😍
Thank you!!! It’s from COAST XXX
For guys, its probably a little easier because our clothes are very basic. Aside from the obvious tip of not following trends, buy clothes that actually fit. I lost around 50lbs a couple years ago, and I still have yet to fully replace all of my oversized clothes. If you don't have clothes that really fit you, go to any clothing store with a changing room, bring a tape measure, and measure the stuff that fits you so that you can always buy with confidence. Things like pants can be tailored, so don't worry about the length and width of the legs too much, just make sure the waist stays up without needing a belt and there's enough room for the boys. Went into the thrift store last week and grabbed 4 items - shorts, pants, t shirt, long sleeve t shirt. Cost me $15 and they all fit perfectly when I tried them on at home because I measured them at the store. The pants just need to be hemmed and tapered to my liking. Understand your core preferences and your fit, and it should be easy to only buy what you actually need.
Thanks for bringing a males perspective. Super interesting! X
Your videos are such a gift to the fashion community
wow! What a lovely comment!! Thank you so much 💖
I stopped fancying myself a blogger/vlogger. I am a normal person who leads a normal life, absolutely nothing fancy about it. This truly helped me!
Where is your white blouse from…please link if possible. Otherwise, what brand is it?
It’s from COAST xxx
If you want loads of in depth videos about this check out Hannah Louise Poston !!
What’s a „high quality soap“ you recommend
aesop 🔥❤️
Great advice
Thank you ❤️
I am exactly where you’re at with wanting to build a capsule wardrobe ❤thanks so much!
I feel like everyone gets to this point in a way!!! Thanks for the comment xx
I have my “rough n tumble” clothes (cotton knits, casual t-shirts, leggings, workout wear, etc.) that I don’t mind running through the washing machine and dryer, but if it’s something much nicer, I will take the time to hand wash.
That’s a good tip. It’s great to have pieces you you really treasure! X
Went berserk buying clothes recently. 🤮it really makes me feel sick to c so much.
Retail with so many new clothes just feels so old fashioned now in a way! Not even enjoyable to browse!!!
I would love a video on how you styled your 2024 clothes 🥰💙 I love the advice and small jewelry brands you shared!
Yesss love this idea! Stay tuned xxx
My white linen pants are hands down the best investment i made this year
I feel you
Yes… definitely one imp thing as I get older is I’m done fantasizing myself in pieces. I see my own lifestyle and make sure I only buy pieces that I would truly wear although it may have looked like a dream on someone. Also doing low buy months or a year if you have the will can feel better at times. Deleting fashion apps, unsubscribing to clothing emails, putting a hold on your IG account and following influencers.. are equally important. Over exposure to social media and continually seeing new buys can make a big hole in one’s pocket and making wasteful purchases. Instead of buying 10 white shirts… I prefer to invest in one pretty floral dress that can see me through Spring and Summer! It’s definitely a sound advice coming from a You Tuber! ❤ And let’s remember kindness to Mother Nature. What goes around, comes around. Cycle of life!
Lovely comment and great advice! Going to try a low buy / no buy month xxx
Sorry, I won't be a minimalist when it comes to wardrobe. I'm only young once and I want to wear nice clothes. I'll be a minimalist when I'm 65 years old and my body is no longer in good shape.
Each to their own 🔥
Each to their own haha xx
I don't think anyone gives a damn what you do so no need to apologise, no one is trying to get you to do anything. You are the one that came to this video and got triggered.
@@Satsusss😂😂😂😂
Make sure that you buy excellent quality, so your 65 year old self can also enjoy the clothes. I spent my youth wasting my money on cheap crap and am kicking myself now. I could have been collecting great stuff all this time!
Ihope i can.
😂
The pieces I see on Instagram or Pinterest, I cannot recreate or don't look good in because of different body shape and size. 😢😅 these days I just go for basics and a few small items with a pop of color or design for the special days.
You have to remember insta photos are perfectly posed. Even the person wearing the outfit wouldn’t look exactly like that in real life. But sounds like you have found what works for you. I’ll be releasing a video on a wardrobe and outfit formula in the coming week which could also be useful xxx
Great timing I have so many dresses which I wear once and buy new dresses 😂😭but idk i needed to stop buying and wear them more often and save me some money ❤ 💰 being a girl is hard 😢
Knowing what you truly wants and investing in more quality and timeless could help?? Great you are looking to get better at it xx
In my opinion instagram is quite bad for my personal style and my wallet. It creates a constant desire for things and I am tired of it… but it’s still hard to resist. Sometimes it helps me to understand that you have time… if you really want that sweater from brand xyz you are probably able to get it second hand one day. It might take 1-2 years but the items won’t completely disappear. 6 months later you might not even “need” the items anymore.
OOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFT! The point on fantasy shopping, I feel so attacked and seen at the same time!!!!!!
we ALL do it hahahah
I hadn't seen most of these trends before. Really interesting, especially the different cuts of denim.
Love that!!! 💖💖
Great video! I'd like to offer some insights since I'm from an older generation - the only 90s clothes that have been timeless are the straight cuts. Think Levis, straight skirts, straight blazers, tall straight boots, and the 90s bag. The only people who wore tiered, long skirts were next-gen hippies (deadheads). They were not mainstream. The only people who wore chunky loafers were from subcultures like goth and LGBT (we didn't have Q+) and those were like the evolution of the chunky Doc Martens, which were also underground back then. Only buy those items if you don't mind packing them away for a couple of decades after they cycle out of style.
Pleaseee update us about your timeless wardrobe!!
Yesss I will do! Xx
In my experience, vision boards didn't help at all because they created a false expectation on how clothes would fit on my body, and most of the items I was interested in didn't suit my body type. It is still a good idea tho, just remember that models might have a different body shape from yours and it's fine
Very good point. I think the best thing is always going and trying things on and figuring it out slowly x
Ughhh it’s so disheartening
This is very important to be HONEST about our body shape. No, this is NOT a body shaming statement. Sometimes people miscategorize their body shape (ex: they think that they’re an apple but they’re really an inverted triangle) or they try to get things that don’t suit their body shape to “work”. Knowing your correct body shape is a game changer with saving money on clothing because you’ll pick things that suit your body shape and make you look great.
can we see a wardrobe tour next? just to get a better idea of how you're building your closet!
Of courseee, next video is a wardrobe clear out but it’s more the items that don’t fit into my wardrobe vision. But can film a wardrobe tour for sure xx
Hi, please where do you get your background music from?
From a none copyright site and chose a jazz track xx
