You could possibly make a steel lid with a steel filler tube & funnel on top. Cut it precisely in half. pour in the aluminum and let it go up the fill tube. When the aluminum cools you can separate the lid into the two halves and then cut off the excess. You may have to use pipe clamps on the tube to keep it from leaking while you pour. Unfortunately you need to get a bit more aluminum melted to do this and your crucible is at it's limit. which means you need to make a larger furnace, get a larger crucible and make a larger mold! If you make a new furnace, a dual burner would be recommended.

Can you use a can opener (like the one used to open soup) to open the oil filters and then remove the internal filter material? or maybe make something like that, it would have to cut through steel thicker than the thin steel soup cans are made out of.

If that cat converter was found on the side of the road, most likely it was cut off someone's car ILLEGALLY. So you can call it stolen property. and you're now in possession of it. Be careful what you do with it.

I have a question about "prepared steel" or segregating steel grades in general. Is the prepared just the plates of the transformers or does it just mean clean metal with no coating/paint...? You ever done a video about it to reference? I just got off a weeklong job and I'm rekt, but I need to clear out a pile of byproduct that's been accumulating, is it worth separating or should I just lump bin it? Mix of bedframe rails, stripped hardware, kitchen utensils, lamp components, dented box pipe segments, transformer remnants, unwanted pots and cookie sheets, etc.

Hi Derek. I just love watching you tweak the Copper King machine. Something about watching the donuts get huge. I can't wait for you to rebuild the Copper King and get your forklift up and running. Then you will be moving at Mach 1. Steve looks like a dwarf next to the second donut. Not a cut. I know he is pretty tall. You guys get more accomplished between midnight and 5:00 AM than people working all day. Favorite channel ever. I miss it when you aren't on. Regards, Marc P.S. With how much time you are spending handling material it really seems like you should probably just get your own forklift. Right now the market is kinda saturated with them from the yellow freight auctions. You can probably pick one up right now for fairly cheap
