Can you explain how? What relation would the sensor have with aperture? If the effective focal length is the same, why should the aperture change? The only issue should be of the field of view right?
@alwynsmit3546Ай бұрын
@@CreativePadMedia as you yourself said... diffraction. You'll deal with diffraction much sooner on an APS-C setup than on a FF.

Not sure if I understand this. Aperture usually doesn't give the desired image in Landscape Photography. I would say shutter speed and the use of filters would be more important than aperture for the desirable effect. Unless its one of those rare shorts where the foreground is kept in focus and the rest of the shot is out of focus.

Waayy too much specular highlights and contrast. She needed a makeup artist to dust the sweat on her so that she didn't "glisten." Dramatic is subjective, to me the dramatic shot(s) would be trashed.
@CreativePadMediaАй бұрын
Yes, you're right about that. The main issue I would say isn't about the make up. It's because the soft box I am using is too small, so the lighting is harsh. That causes all the problems you pointed out. Because I was using a V860, it isn't powerful enough to be used with a larger softbox nor does it fill the surface area of a larger softbox, which would have made the light more flattering and softer. If I had something like a AD 400/600 with me, I could have used a larger softbox. But this course (that this video is a part of) is designed for beginners and therefore my focus was more on the technical side of things from the point of view of using an OCF and not so much on the aesthetics of the final shot. I do plan to create another video with a stronger light and a larger modifier.

The latest InShot app is not filling the sides, as in your video, when using a vertical video in the 16:9 format. I've followed the directions per your video, but the vertical video just has black bar sides. Do you know if there was a change in the program? I've been trying to find an answer online but haven't found anything yet. Great tutorial by the way. Thank you!
@CreativePadMediaАй бұрын
If you are using a vertical video in a landscape format like 16:9, then you'll have to pinch to zoom in to fill up the negative space. But for vertical videos, it's better to use the vertical aspect ratios like 9:16, 4:5 or even square ones like 1:1

Thanks for this video. I have been using SmartLav for several years while recording my sermons, the lav being connected to my iPhone and the recordings being made into the Rode app. I used to convert the recordings into CAF, and connecting the phone by cable to my computer; using iTunes, I would then transfer the recording/s to my computer. However, when I upgraded the phone's OS to 16, this caused the Rode app to be not compatible. I then had to record messages into my iPad that is still on an older version of OS. Later I contacted Rode and they pointed me out the Rode Reporter App that can be downloaded from App store. However this app exports only as mp3 and I have need to convert the file with audio converters to make it FCPX ready. As of now, I have not made any sermon-recordings with the Rode reporter app, and I am interested to know into what Rode app you have recorded this voiceover: Reporter App? If yes, how did this recording make its way to your laptop/computer? I am planning to upgrade my MacOS to Ventura in which iTunes would not be available. Can you please let me know how you have transferred this voiceover to your computer? Regards and take care Dr. Somanna
