I’ve been seeing more and more single mothers begging for money on the streets where I live. One this past weekend had (supposedly) very attractive daughters sitting next to her at a highway off ramp. No one I saw stopped however… they just kept driving 🤷🏻‍♂️

Seems like an appropriate return for what is essentially risk free money as long as you are planning to hold long enough. Also the appreciation of thr assets as well if you bought good properties.

But he’s not taking into account mortgage pay down and appreciation. Sure it’s a 6-7% return monthly. But don’t forget mortgage is paid for and appreciation exists. It’s a triple dip in profits. I love my 2 duplexes lol.

This hyperfocus on women's sexual history seems a more recent phenomenon, while also being old world. It was a big deal back in the 50's when my grandpa was a young man, and it's a big deal now that my nephew is a young man. However, it was not a big deal when my dad was growing up in the 80's or when I was growing up in the 2000's. I don't. Remember guys freaking out about a college aged girl having half a dozen previous partners, and my dad says the same. My nephew, who is a 23 year old virgin, is extremely focused on a potential partner's sexual history. He refers to women his age that have had multiple partners as being untrustworthy and unable to pair bond along with all this other manospheree bullshit he's now into. Part of me wants to tell him that his mom dated at least a dozen men before she met his dad in her late 20's, and they've been married for over twenty years. In fact pretty sure, her and my brother hooked up the night they met lol.

6k/mo on a million dollars a 7.2% annual return. This is what you would expect on a good, relatively safe investment. If you put that money in the S&P 500 or the DJI , for example, your an average annual return would be similar. This rich kid is delusional. He should be taking on more risk if he wants a greater return.

I retired 4 years ago at age 39 with a $7million net worth which has since grown to almost $11m. This woman is clueless, and who the heck needs to spend $ 1 million a year? We have 2 kids and our annual expenses are around $150k (no mortgage). This woman is caught up in a materialistic lifestyle and the kind of woman that would make a rich man go broke. A woman obsessed with money and purses and cars etc is not suitable for marriage and will make bad mothers, the kind of woman that will divorce her husband if his business starts to struggle or if he gets sick.

Monogomy is a choice. It's disingenuous to facilitate a back door to exit loyalty. Either a person has integrity or they don't. The expectation in commitment is monogamy. Stop selling a lie. There must be parameters that relationships exist in to prevent chaos in society. The weak live according to how they feel and what they want in the moment. The strong live according to what is right; virtue, self-respect, and respect for others. Feminism and meninism are concepts that are destroying our societal relationships. Neil describes himself as a cad. These generalizations perpetuate the sickness in modern-day male and female "roles." The pendulums will swing back, contrary to Neil's doom and gloom message.

As a woman of 33 I can only speak from my perspective. I still get a lot of attention and options in dating, partly because I take care of my beauty, partly my love of cooking and nurturing, my joy in life and partly my creativity and talent. I prefer to be selective with who I spend time with and wait for someone compatible but high-value to me might not be what you expect. This psychologist speaks a version of the truth. Many people live in this more material-orientated paradigm. It might get you some kind of relationship but a more shallow and fragile one. However, a growing minority of people are focussing their life on developing a depth of strong character. Majority of people nowadays don’t want to sacrifice comfort for difficult experiences that help us grow. They become stagnant and thus so do their relationships or they let their attention dart around and never develop satisfaction and depth. If they want dynamic and passionate connection it requires a commitment to developing dynamism and passion in oneself. A high quality man (to me) is someone who is emotionally connected to and willing to make sacrifices for their passion in life, is dedicated to developing courage, integrity, loyalty and emotional intimacy (understanding one’s own unique psychological make-up). In short - ask yourself - are you looking for someone from the materialistic majority or from the depth-orientated minority? Are you looking for an eternally deepening strength and satisfaction or fragility of temporary indulgence and never feeling satisfied? In order to be ready for a relationship based around deeper values, what might we have to improve about ourselves? As a woman of moral fibre, I am on a life-long journey of personal my growth and self improvement. For a relationship to work, a man would have that same focus. Even if he wasn’t financially stable, if he has shown immense courage and self-sacrifice, if he is true to his values then I would very seriously consider him as a partner. And with regards to cheating - its something people do to fill a void or live out an unlived or neglected part of oneself. Actually looking within and understanding that part of oneself and finding creative or spiritual ways to express it can build a stronger bond with your partner and a deeper intimacy. That intimacy that is always growing and evolving is what keeps a flame of intense desire and passion growing in a couple. I personally would consider infidelity as a breach of trust and intimacy and wouldn’t tolerate it because it stops our relationship from getting deeper.
