Nurse looked wayyy to comfortable spreading it wide like he was in the locker room celebrating their victory, I know Oilers get lazy thinking they’ve won the game with a lead and can just defend a net for two periods but on top of that this guy didn’t even flinch when taking a slap shot straight to the hole…. That was just disturbing man.

I think DeBoer's defensive line changes after the 1st were a big part of stopping the Oilers in the 2nd. Splitting up the Tanev and Lindell so they had a defensive defensemen on their top two lines, instead one defensive line and one offensive line, really helped shut down the Oilers offense.

Excellent video just stumbled on this channel on my KZread feed. Kind of thought it was already going to be Dallas winning the series even without hintz being healthy. Him being back unlocks robo for Dallas to do what he did in game 3. Anything can happen but I think for sure Dallas has this one now. Too much depth and when push comes to shove, the guy capable of being the best between the pipes.

When you send McDavid out what seems to be every other time for every series it's no wonder that after one period the Oilers look worse. Meanwhile, Dallas is just rolling four lines and keeps on applying pressure in every zone.

This has been Edmonton's mo for years now. Nurse is minus 12. Nurse is the albatross around the neck for them. And he gets paid 9.25 million. Edm's D is the only D in the playoffs that CONSITANTLY gives up stoppable goals.

The oilers main issue is the goal tending and the typical to score 2 and daydream about golfing. I hate to say but skinner is not a good goalie and honestly Pickard should be in net right now. Skinner has not been as good as he was when the oilers we’re on the winstreak, thats the issue. Knoblauch makes bad choices. Pulling skinner with 3 minutes left is crazy and he did that in game 2 and 3 and they score empty both times. Goaltending coach needs to be replaced. McDavid needs to get his head in the game and stop dreaming about Matthews on the golf course without him. Hyman has had actual goals and not tip ins that are better than McD’s plays and goals. As an Oilers fan I am still confident we can come back but I am not certain. They need to play like they did in game 6 against the nucks

The Oilers have a crippling line change and momentum problem. When it goes well and they can control those aspects of the game the Oilers are fire, but the minute they get out of step everything falls apart. It's such a problem that you can see the Oilers struggle in a game, take a penalty, and their PK plays better than their full lines because they were able to reset the tempo. It's a nasty and subtle problem that's been plaguing the team for years, and imo accounts for around a third of their losses in the last two seasons.

I just get the feels that Edmonton has a fragile psyche - I’m certainly not the first to observe it, I just think it’s legit. Meanwhile - Dallas staring down VGK in the first round is huge for their confidence and resilience. As evidenced by this turd period in the turd game of the series. 😂

yes, even when down 2 points, Dallas were still calm, even laughing and joking around. Edmonton idk if they get cocky or complacent when they get a lead but their emotions are more erratic for sure, when their emotions are high they're on fire but at times wasting lots of energy, on the other hand, once they start to panic or lose hope, things unravel quickly.

they can’t weather the dallas storm. they fold under pressure they come flying out early in the first all 3 games the difference is that dallas can respond. also our pp has gone invisible (only getting about 2 a game so no excuse) one goal could help. they can’t find under pressure like that
